It's a fine line between feuding and flirting...

Ever since Megan Miller arrived in stunning Lost Harbor, Alaska, she's been at odds with boat captain Lucas Holt. They're opposites in every way. She's a city girl, he's from an Alaska homestead. She runs nature tours, he's all about big-money charters. He's also arrogant, annoying and oh yeah, wildly attractive. Lost Harbor would be the perfect escape from the tragedy that sent her running--except for her feud with the hottie captain.

Lucas Holt came home for one thing—settle his father's affairs then hightail it back to Colorado. So why is he still here? Is it because there's something fishy about his father's death? Is it the endearingly eccentric locals and enchanting scenery? Or could it be Lost Harbor's newest resident, a sassy scientist who's as sexy as she is stubborn? Arguing with Megan is the best foreplay he's had in years.

Until one of Lost Harbor's dangerous storms tosses everything up in the air, and a feud turns to a passionate affair--with stakes higher than Megan ever imagined.

I received an ARC of this from the author for my honest review. A great first book in a new series. I like that this one is in Alaska, as I know it's dear tot he authors heart. The characters were engaging and you just wanted to be with them in their adventures. It was a quick read, but I loved the banter between Megan and Lucas. They both had quick wits and wanted the last word in each argument. You knew it wouldn't be long before they found that those arguments were just foreplay in their attraction to each other. Megan being new to the Harbor and boating world, it made easy prey for Lucas to pick on her and her lack of knowledge of the area and being on the water. I would have liked more development of Megan's reason for moving away from the city and why she didn't tell Lucas about it. Lucas found out from Megan's ex husband when he visited to see where their daughter was living, Megan never told him out right. It was almost like it was just added for the reason she left the city, with no real meat to it. Dev, Megan's ex was a real piece of work. I wanted to strangle him for how he treated Megan and made her feel like she was not a strong woman, when she in fact was very strong and had been through a lot. So glad she found her voice when it came to him! I very much enjoyed this little town and of course the baby otter that popped up in the story. Can't wait for the next one in this series.

Mine Until Moonrise is the first book in Jennifer Bernard’s Lost Harbor, Alaska series. Another fabulous read from Ms. Bernard. Lucas Holt and Megan Miller are like oil and water at first. It was fun watching them as they let their guard down and find their happily ever after. Megan’s daughter Ruby is sweet. She added a lot to the overall book. I’m excited to see where Ms. Bernard takes the reader as she develops this series. She has built a town with everything you can imagine along with a cast of characters that I’m sure will all find their way into the series. What I love about Ms. Bernard’s books is she draws the reader in from page one and by the time the book is over you can’t wait to see what the next adventure is in the series. Ms. Bernard is one of my favorite authors. I’ve read all of her book and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend Mine Until Moonrise, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I’d like to disclose that I received and advance copy of this book which I chose to read and review. This is my true and honest opinion.

Jennifer Bernard has a new series set in Lost Harbor, Alaska loved it!!! Megan and her daughter, Ruby are new to Lost Harbor after leaving the big city, and is running a nature tour. Lucas has returned home after the death of his dad, running a fishing charter. From the very beginning they are feuding but soon it becomes a fun banter with hot sex. Loved these characters, the banter had me laughing out loud. Ruby is a genius and Megan just wants to her to enjoy being a kid too, loved the otter. The descriptive writing makes you want to visit this small town in Alaska. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I loved Megan and Luke’s story in Mine Until Moonrise by Jennifer Bernard, the first book in her Lost Harbor, Alaska series. Megan escaped with her genius-level daughter after a horrible incident, leaving the big city for an Alaskan homestead and a tour boat, The Forget-Me-Not. Since her arrival she has butted heads with the hottie captain, Lucas Holt, operating his late father’s charter company. She runs nature tours; he’s all about big-money charters. He’s also arrogant, annoying, and oh yeah, wildly attractive. Lucas came back home only to settle his father’s affairs before returning to Colorado; yet he’s not ready to flee the town where he grew up. He’s enjoying spending time with Lost Harbor’s newest resident, Megan and her daughter Riley. Butting heads and arguing with Megan is the best foreplay he’s had in years. When a dangerous storm roils not just the seas, their feud turns into a passionate affair; one that could affect all that’s important to Megan. Ms. Bernard wrote an amazing, visual, sexy and magical escape that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Megan and Luke a chance at forever love. I highly recommend Mine Until Moonrise to other readers and am totally looking forward to the next story in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

A new series by one of my favorite authors! Mine Until Moonrise by Jennifer Bernard is the first in the Lost Harbor series. It has beautiful Alaska as the setting and wonderful characters that are easy to fall in love with. As always with this author, the story pulls you in from the first page and keeps you reading to the end. The characters are well-developed, the romance tugs at the heart, and a little adventure pulls it all together. Pick this one up! You will not be disappointed! I am looking forward to the rest of this series.

Mine Until Moonrise is the first book in Jennifer Bernard’s new series set in Lost Harbor, Alaska. Full of fun, quirky characters, humor, chemistry, and beautiful scenery, this one does not disappoint. There is a bit of interesting town mythology thrown in. This is a fun and quick (well, for me, since I devoured it) read by an author who knows how to write novels that will make you laugh and leave you wanting more. Bernard’s books have become those that I drop everything and work them in as quickly as possible. The only downside to that strategy is having to wait for the next one. #MineUntilMoonrise #LostHarborAlaska #JenniferBernard

Mine Until Moonrise, the first in the Lost Harbor, Alaska, series, is my new favorite story by Jennifer Bernard. The main characters are engaging and fun. Lucas and Megan, who each run charter boats out of the harbor, butt heads at first, but soon become friends and lovers. Ruby, Megan’s exceptionally gifted child is truly a unique addition to the story. Each has ghosts and issues to open up about and work through. They dance around each other for a while but soon find common ground and help each other work through these problems while surviving some pretty scary and serious events that bring them closer together. I’ll let you discover the hair-raising, heart-stopping events for yourself. One thing I really like about this series is Bernard’s descriptions of Alaska and her knowledge of the wildlife in the area. Romance writers and their readers get a lot of grief for the genre but I’ve found I learn more about current issues and concerns reading romance novels than any other genre of fiction. Bernard brings up environmental issues along with climate change. She brings up the concerns this small town in Alaska has trying to survive economically while protecting wildlife habitats from pollution and consequently the very existence of the town itself. Since this is a concern more and more communities in the world have to deal with, we can all learn from reading Mine Until Moonrise…..And enjoy a wonderful, engaging, fun book at the same time. I look forward (ok, impatiently) to reading the next books in the series.

The first book in a series that introduces us to the residents of Lost Harbor, Alaska and features the breathtaking and pristine beauty of Alaska. The author treats the setting just like another “character” in the story and I quickly felt like I could picture the town and what it felt like to be out on a boat in the harbor. Megan and her precocious daughter Ruby are new to town and most of the locals don’t quite know what to make of their new boat owner and all the ideas she proposes to improve their little town. Fishing boat captain Lucas and Megan clash from the very start because his laidback manner makes Megan feel like he’s disingenuous and dismissive. I liked the small town atmosphere and was impressed by how quickly they jump to her aid when a crisis occurs and Megan and Ruby desperately need their help. You’re going to love this book!

Ever since I learned that Jennifer Bernard lives in Alaska, I was hoping she would set a series there. All of her books weave the location into the story in a way that almost makes it feel like a character in itself. Megan moved to Alaska with her too smart for her age daughter, looking for a change and to escape a painful past, but she wasn't prepared for what was in store for her in Lost Harbor. Lucas Holt returned home to deal with some family issues and wasn't expecting to find a new nemesis in Megan Miller. I loved the friendly banter and teasing between the two which just amped up the sexual tension. Add in a cast of local characters, an adorable otter and the unique environment of Lost Harbor, Mine Until Moonrise is a story you can't put down. I can't wait to learn more about this community and it's inhabitants in the rest of the series.

What an excellent way to start out a new series. Jennifer Bernard is one of my top 3 favorite authors. The new Lost Harbor series is one I have been waiting for! Tons of new characters to fall in love with as well as a whole new setting. This series promises to deliver more love. Book one features Megan and Lucas. Megan is so strong willed and head strong. It was a no-brainer that she would butt heads with Lucas. Its funny how as the book went on, you could feel the emotions of them falling in love. Oh and that Ruby! So looking forward to the rest of the series to come out. One you won't want to miss. If you have never read a Jennifer Bernard book...this would be a great way to introduce yourself to her books. Trust me...you WILL buy all her other books!

Megan is divorced with a gifted child and moved to Alaska not quite a year ago. Lucas moved back after his dad died to figure out what to do with the family charter business. They have mixed feelings about each other. Throw in an ex-husband that you could truly dislike at times, a chance to be on a TV explorer show and watch the chaos come to life. I Love Jennifer's books and this one will not disappoint!

Mine Until Moonlight is a delightful book! It contains colorful characters, witty writing, the beautiful backdrop of Alaska, and sizzling chemistry between two harbor neighbors (it's a thing trust me). Jennifer Bernard has created a wonderful new series where you can either get lost or found (depending on your situation) in Lost Harbor, Alaska. For our main characters, Megan and Lucas, they happened to need just a bit of both. Megan is running from a past tragedy and hoping to lose herself in the peaceful town of Lost Harbor. Lucas grew up in Alaska, moved away from the small town, but upon his fathers death is back now trying to find answers to his mysterious death. While these two came from different backgrounds, they also have similar values. Neither would ever admit it to the other, because it just might mean they actually liked one another, and they have this unspoken feud between them. Well...not so much unspoken, because you can't feud without a few choice words, but more like an undocumented feud. When does a feud actually begin? How do you set the terms? Isn't that what makes a feud, the verbal sparring, the light jabs, the so called pranks? These two are good at their feuding and it makes for a really fun book. Megan and Lucas are harbor neighbors, that's what she called them, much to Lucas' argument that there is no such term. They park their boats next to one another at the docks and while he has (or more like his father had) a thriving fishing business, Megan's nature business is less than thriving. Lucas came home after his father passed to settle affairs, which also meant running his fishing boat, not something he was exactly happy about, which he sometimes took out on his harbor neighbor (I love using this term). He also is looking into his father's death, which is a lot of fun as he goes around town talking to people regarding his father. Megan doesn't have time to worry about her sexy, everyone-loves-him-in-town, harbor neighbor. She has a business to run and she needs to drum up business. On top of that, she has a gifted daughter and her meddling ex who doesn't believe that living in a small town in Alaska is the best thing for her. If she can't make enough to support them she might actually have to sell her boat and move proving her ex was right. When she finds out a producer is in town filming a nature show and could be interested in Lucas' boat, she jumps at the opportunity to show them what she's got. She will not let sexy Lucas take this opportunity from her. They both have things to worry about while in Alaska and a feud between harbor neighbors is one thing neither really have time for, but they both can't seem to avoid the pitfalls that feuding brings. Especially when there is a fine line between feuding and flirting. They are drawn to each other like a moth to a flame. Their story is fun and once you pick it up it's very hard to put down. This is a great first story to a new series and I'm looking forward to more in this small town of Lost Harbor.

First book in a new series by a favorite author! It is set in an Alaskan harbor and you can honestly feel the changes in the weather; that’s how descriptive it is. I won’t retell the story but it is about Megan Miller, her little girl Ruby, and Lucas Holt. Megan is divorced, has just moved to Alaska, and she is trying to fit in with the “locals” by being the very best at anything and everything. Her daughter is a child prodigy but very much an adorably too-smart-for-her-age little girl, who loves her mother (as much as her mother loves her) and nature and everything about where they are living in Alaska. Megan’s ex is someone I could grow to dislike, quite easily, but you’ll have to read the story to enjoy that ride. Lucas has just come back home to Alaska to deal with his recently deceased father’s business, his dad’s “stuff”, and to help his mother but yearns to go back to his home and business in Colorado. But he adores Ruby and loves, loves, loves to tease Megan every chance he gets. He often tries to be nice but it always comes out snarky…let the sparks fly! Because it is a new series, we get to meet lots of folks in town, enjoy the scenery, and start to love everyone and everything here. There is drama and intrigue and a bit of mayhem thrown in for good measure – Ruby has an “adventure” that made my heart beat faster! – but at its core it is a story of Megan and Lucas falling in love. Enjoyed the story and can’t wait for the next book in the series.

What an amazing start to a new series by Jennifer Bernard. This is set in Lost Harbor, Alaska and features Megan and Lucas. I won’t leave any spoilers, but if you enjoy laughs, a little suspense, and a whole lotta love, then you won’t be disappointed. The way she describes the scenes makes you feel like you’re there in Alaska. I can’t wait for book two.

This was a great start to a new series. I really enjoyed Lucas and Megan as a couple. They brought out the best in each other even if they didn’t come off that way right off the bat. I liked meeting Lucas’s high school girlfriend, Officer Maya and Megan’s friend, Zoe, who owned a pizza parlor. I am hoping they get their own book so I can go back and visit this town.

4 1/2 stars! This is such a wonderful love story and intro book for this new series by Jennifer Bernard. Jenny has a fantastic writing style that really brings you into the story and makes you feel like you are actually there. What a beautiful setting for this series. I love Lucas and Megan so much and this small town in Alaska. Their frenemies status made for some awesome banter and interactions between them! Their back stories make sense and really show you why they are the way they are. They made me laugh the way they argued about everything. You could feel the chemistry but also that they were ignorant to it for the most part until they weren't and that was amazing! The other characters in the town were a great asset to the story itself and I can't wait to get to know some of them even better throughout the series. I also enjoyed all the myths and stories the people told about the area and how it added a little extra something to the book. Lucas made me swoon so much but the way he treats Megan's daughter Ruby really did it for me.

Mine Until Moonrise, the first book in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series is a wonderful story set in a small fishing town. Megan is a divorced mother raising a daughter, Ruby, who is an 8 year old math prodigy. Raising a child alone is difficult, but when that child is a genius, it creates a whole new set of problems Megan Miller runs a charter boat taking people on birdwatching tours in Lost Harbor. The Forget Me Not is an old boat, but it is hers and she is determined to make her nature tour/birdwatching tour business a success. Lucas Holt also runs a charter boat. He takes clients out in the harbor on fishing expeditions. He and Megan didn’t get off to a good start. She ran her old tub, the Forget Me Not, into his expensive charter boat He manages to stay on Megan’s wrong side by running his powerful boat into the areas where she is birdwatching and startling all the birds so that they fly away. This book has well-developed characters, a great story line, romance and even a few heart-stopping moments. It kept my attention from the first chapter to the end. I look forward to the next book in the Lost Harbor series.
