Best friends in high school, Sandy Randolph and Michael Carlson renew their friendship when they meet again twelve years later.

Sandy tries to fight her blossoming feelings for she knows a relationship with Michael is impossible. One of his dreams is for a large family, and that is something she cannot give him.

A short, disastrous marriage produced one good thing for Mike—his son. His ex-wife kidnapped Corey almost a year ago. Despite help from the FBI and private investigators, no one has found Corey. Mike decides to take over the search for his son, and wants Sandy by his side.

As their feelings for each other deepen, Sandy knows she has to admit the truth about her sterility. But if she does, she may lose the love of her life.
