Purpose: The purpose is to provide a comprehensive review of movement disorders.
Audience: The book is written for neurologists or movement disorder specialists, but medical students and residents would also benefit from this book. The authors are all experts in the field.
Features: This is an excellent comprehensive review of Parkinson's disease, parkinsonism, gait disorders, dystonia, chorea, tremors, tics, myoclonus, ataxia, restless legs syndrome, and psychogenic movement disorders. Each section is outlined and organized in an easy to read and logical format. In addition to the vast amount of information, the book also provides excellent tables and a complete set of references.
Assessment: This is an excellent, well-written, and comprehensive textbook of movement disorders. Designed for movement disorder specialists, it provides an in-depth overview of all movement disorders. I would recommend this book for my colleagues or movement disorder fellows.
