About the Author

Carmel Hayes Westerman, the author of Mrs. Atwater, was born in Ontario, Canada, her family moved to California in the early 1950's. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work at California State University, Sacramento, CA. Her first novel, A Lifetime Ago, was a Memoir/family saga set in the same time period.
The author intends to continue to write stand alone novel�s about the characters in Mrs. Atwater.
Carmel has been writing haiku poetry for twelve years. Her poetry has been published in many print and online journals.
