Amateur private investigator, Jo Ravens, is the only common link in the murder of three people and the abduction of a cab driver. While police are busy building a case against her, Jo races to prove her innocence. Her sister, Pepper, and journalist friend, Jackie, are on hand to assist in catching the real killer. About the Author

In the '80s, Maddie worked for a weight loss company by day and played racquetball by night. She used her experiences from weight loss centers and playing racquetball as inspiration for Susan Hunter in her Susan Hunter Mysteries.

The family of Jo Ravens in the Two Sisters and a Journalist series resembles Maddie's family in many ways. Her eighty-five-year-old mother still laughs when a whoopee cushion makes a loud appearance at family gatherings.
