Wanda Micheal has an established background in both music and early childhood education. After operating a learning center for five years, she realized that learning styles are diverse, and it is incredibly difficult to engage each type of learner. So, in 2015 she founded Mobile Music and Education for Kids, an educational program committed to teaching the whole child through the arts and fitness. A ‘whole child’ approach to arts and education is defined by policies, practices, and relationships that ensure each child, in each school, in each community, is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. In 2017 Wanda designed the game Musical Education&Fitness Walk to engage learners of all types and ages. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, including The Carolinian Newspaper, SHOUTOUT ATLANTA, and VoyageRaleigh. Though grateful for the notoriety, Wanda is most proud of the number of students who have benefited from her unique teaching style.
