Absolutely delightful, Stunning, and Inspiring A brilliant and mesmerizing rich and poignant narrative that had the power to engage me from beginning to end because at the beginning I felt nostalgia when the protagonist, Victoria, loses her father and she walks to the airport in tears to see him for the last time. But then, I felt joy and excitement when romantic love rescued her even though later she realized that her true love was someone else. The novel reinforced my idea that we must have romance in our lives because it nurtures us with physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. I sympathized with the characters, so I learned a lot from their strengths and their weaknesses. Throughout the novel, I liked how Roche shows that living in richness enhances the quality of life and happiness. I also found the novel interesting because it suggests that success and richness may either bring family and people together or set them apart. In addition, I liked how the narrator used dreams to express inner unconscious wishes and repressed emotions that led the protagonist to grow and develop emotionally and psychologically. In addition to the use of dreams to release inner repression, I liked how the novelist used romance to help the protagonist to overcome sorrow and bring joy and pleasure to her life. I liked the characters because they are very real and convincing. I really worried about the protagonist’s despair when her father died. As the love story unfolded I got lost in the story with vivid detail that I envisioned and found myself not just reading the words in the pages but dreaming of traveling across the Pacific Ocean to Chile, horseback riding in the wheat fields in the summertime, romancing in the garden, and walking in a fruit orchard on a drizzling morning. The novel broadened and reinforced my values and beliefs that true love has the power to overcome any obstacle. The story’s ending surprised me and also made me sympathetic to the protagonist. This book gave me new insights about how to interpret dreams and made me more aware and taught me that it is great to think about success, but also express affection for our loved ones before it is too late. This novel taught me how lasting romantic love gives us a sense of well-being, happiness, and enhances our success. I really enjoyed how a sense of being in love of the protagonist gave her strength and a feeling of euphoria that helped her recover from grief and brought joy to her life again. It is a must read literary work, so I really recommend this novel to everybody because it is very interesting and is a masterpiece.
