Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Kathryn Heist Sasse was adopted by missionary parents and lived in New Guinea from the age of two to four. She is a mother, RN, and enjoys painting and drawing. The author finds artwork highly valuable in the creative process of learning, especially for children. Her name is included in the National Dean’s List. This is her first published work.
