New Lands (Illustrated)
Charles Fort famously wrote four books about phenomena unexplained by science. While he is best known for his first, The Book of the Damned, his second book, New Lands, explores anomalies of astronomy. Combining little-known scientific facts with dark humor, Fort goes where others fear to tread. The first half of New Lands takes on scientific assertions, questioning everything, noting planets that according to mathematical calculations aren't "where they are supposed to be," and other astronomical foibles. The second half shows Fort's genius for research, giving documented accounts of mysterious lights on the moon, stones falling up into the sky, lightning killing people on cloudless days, and UFOs.

New Lands, first published in 1923, may contain research from Fort's earlier, burned books, X and Y. This newly illustrated edition also includes bonus material at the end.
