Nicholas Tolentino was a Lucchese family soldier most closely associated with narcotics/heroin trafficking. "Big Nose Nick" was arrested for his part in two 1950s drug rings. Both were taken down by the combined effort of federal agents and New York City Police. The syndicates had labs in Hackensack and Lodi, New Jersey. Tolentino was closely linked to mobster Giovanni "Big John" Ormento. In April 1959 mob boss Vito Genovese was convicted on narcotics charges in federal court in New York City. The convictions led to prison sentences for members of the Genovese, Lucchese and Gambino families.
