M.H. Gerber has been a French teacher in public and private schools for 30 years. She is the mother of four. She has lived in the Midwest all her life. She has a BA in French and an MA in English Literature. She enjoys reading, writing, gardening and sewing. She also enjoys cooking but sometimes has a tough time keeping it interesting! She finds nothing more relaxing than watching the sun go down over a silvery lake in Northeast Indiana.

Night Walks Softly has strong characters that reach out and grab you and beautiful language that keeps you reading. The plot is rich with twists and turns and subplots that are captivating in their own right. This is a great read. The only downside was when it was over; I did not want to leave the story or the setting! I cannot wait for another novel by this author.
