Purpose: The purpose is to update environmental and other regulatory changes, including Minimum Data Set (MDS 3.0) updates that occurred in October 2010.
Audience: The book is intended as an educational tool for those studying to become nursing home administrators and for practicing nursing home administrators. It also could be used to provide guidance for ancillary personnel such as those in dietary, maintenance, activity, and other department supervisory roles. The author is an expert in this area.
Features: The book begins with a thorough discussion of leadership styles, emphasizing leadership skills that have been proven to be effective. It also covers topics such as long term care regulations, building construction requirements, and best practices covering areas such as building construction requirements and nursing clinical assessment tools.
