This is "On Mercy Street", the second release from Keith Harkin and it is exceptional! He took two years to write, record, and get everything to his liking before releasing it to the world. It has some upbeat, rockin' tunes like "Mercy" and Keep On Rollin" to ballads like "Take Me Down" and "September Sessions" and even love songs like "First Time" which he wrote for his fiance' Kelsey. Keith has so much emotion in his voice that you can't help but be moved by his songs. He is an accomplished singer/songwriter who just keeps getting better with each song he sings. This album is a must have for your collection! Be sure to share it with your friends and family and they will be a fan if they weren't already. I like it so much I bought one for the house and another for my car!
Format: Audio CD I'm 66 years old and this is the single best LP, cassette, or CD I've ever owned (and I've owned a lot of great music.). There isn't a single track that I skip over when I listen to this incredible CD. Keith Harkin is an amazingly talented Irishman, a long-time member of Celtic Thunder, but he shines best in his solo work. He has a powerful voice and a wide range, but most of all, he has talent as a vocalist, a musician, and a songwriter. The band he picked to back his music is outstanding. I love his solo work, but the band adds a new dimension to his sound, heightening the excitement. The songs range from poignant to sassy, from soulful to insightful. Please give Keith Harkin a try. You won't be disappointed.
Irish born Keith Harkin sings from the heart. He is a very talented singer songwriter and his lyrics are soulful and heartfelt. A wonderful CD.
In a world of auto tuned, bubblegum image focused "music" rises a REAL album and its goooood! On Mercy Street is uplifting, upbeat, raw and incredibly unique. It can't and doesn't deserve to be labeled, put in a box of a specific musical genre. Keith's writing, singing and playing style is inherently his own and seamlessly travels across pop, rock, folk, country/bluegrass with a good smattering of his Irish heritage shining thru. He LIVES music and when you listen to OMS you FEEL it. So, if you're just plain into real good MUSIC of all types, true musicianship and supporting genuine artistry, then On Mercy Street is for YOU! 5-stars!!!!!
