If you own dogs, if you train dogs, if you ever plan to share your life with dogs, this book is a must read. It is short and easy. There are examples and pictures. It is excellent.

Book is helpful and the tone of it is very approachable, even for newbies, but I happened across the DVD and found it much more useful and applicable. And obviously the demos are much simpler to understand.

This is an excellent, quick read. The author has an incredible understanding of dog communication and explains "calming signals" in an easy, clear style. This should be considered a must-read for any dog owner and is just plain interesting for anyone else.
