About the Author

Lisa began her ministry at the age of eight years old, visiting the elderly. She continued to minister in hospital and nursing homes for the last thirty years. Lisa and her dogs have blessed many people at the nursing homes and special needs housing with sixteen years of pet therapy.
In August of 2005, Lisa took a sign language class at church and met a deaf person named Judy. They became good friends, and Judy taught her American Sign Language. When Lisa found out how many deaf/hard-of-hearing people have not heard the good news—the gospel of Jesus—Lisa began a Sign Language Music Ministry to share the gospel through sign language with dancing, adding holy hip-hop. Lisa also facilitates getting the deaf/hard-of-hearing into churches that provide interpreters. She also volunteers her time at the local special needs facility. Before that, she worked in banking/finance.
Lisa is married and has three grandchildren.
