ONE NIGHT OF PASSION is the third book in the Wicked Dukes Club series. Though each will stand on its own, there is a lot of reference to the former matches and I would recommend reading them anyway – they are all five crown reads. Thad doesn’t have a title or need one. He wants true love. He believes in The One and believes everyone deserves their one. Sigh! He wants a happy-ever-after. Priscilla believes that if she just has her independence, she’ll be happy. So many of us live our lives with this premise. If I just lose 10 more pounds, I’ll be happy. If I just get that job, I’ll be happy. If I just get a different man, I’ll be happy. She isn’t whining. She isn’t looking for someone to save her. She is making a game of forcing fate towards her goals. She has made lemonade of the lemons life has given her, for now. But then Thad happens. I won’t spoil a moment of it by telling you a word of that. Just know that I think every word of it must be read. Sweet and romantic from beginning to end, this is the story that can’t be missed. Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely. Title: ONE NIGHT OF PASSION Series: Wicked Dukes Club #3 Category /Genre: Historical Romance Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content Grammar/editing: A – near perfect Received from: Erica Ridley (as an ARC gifted copy)

Love v Adventure 4.5* Priscilla wants to travel the world, to join her explorer father and grandfather in Africa but the only way she can do so, is not to marry nor cause a scandal before her 25th birthday. Then she will inherit a fortune of £10,000 and be a woman of independence. The first five years of attending society affairs but being almost invisible have been easy but now when she only has 16 months to her goal, Thaddeus Middleton, a gentleman who believes in true love, is throwing all her plans into disarray. There has been a fair amount of literary historic license with this book but the characters are so engaging that I was able to overlook this. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Such a sweet story! Thad and Priscilla's story was just delightful. Thad is ready to get married, and looking for love. He's keeping his options open, knowing that looking in all of the same places isn't going to cut the meantime, though, he's fairly content with his life: his rented home, his friends and family, and the biographies he loves to read. Priscilla never wants to get married; that institution hadn't done her mother or grandmother any favors. She's counting the days until her 25th birthday, when she hopes to use an inheritance to join her father and grandfather in exploring the world. How could these two ever find an HEA together? Every time the two of them are on the page together, it's just magical--he's just so darn adorably smitten with her, and is trying make her rethink her world view on meeting at a time. Her grandmother--the only person who's stayed with her from the beginning--tries to point out some painful truths to her, but it's an unexpected visitor who helps Priscilla to figure out where her heart is truly trying to lead her, to Priscilla and Thad's relatively angst-free but very romantic conclusion. Counting the days until the next book in the series! (Though this one would really work just fine as a standalone too) Rating: 4 stars / A- I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Be still my heart. It's been a while where main character had me swooning so hard as did Thaddeus. That was the sweetest. I wanted to crawl into this story had throw myself at him and beg him to love me. As for Priscilla; I liked how determent she was and wouldn't settle. It was fun to see Thaddeus breaking down her walls without her really realising it. This series just keeps improving with each story that comes out. I'm a huge fan and can't wait to see what happens next. ***Review copy requested and reviewed on behalf of OMGReads Blog***

Pricilla's father and grandfather have left their home and family to go off and be adventurers, leaving their family at home, alone. Priscilla was raised by her mother and her grandmother. Her mother suffered from crippling depression, after being left by her husband/Pricilla's father, and eventually killed herself. Being abandoned by her father and grandfather, Priscilla creates a dream for herself that when she reaches the age of majority and isn't married, she will inherit a large amount of money and go off to join her father and grandfather on their adventures because, of course, her father would never abandon his daughter. Thaddeus Middleton is looking to get married but wants a wife who wants him, not his money. When he meets Priscilla, he is taken with her but Priscilla has built a wall around herself. She is interested in Thaddeus but doesn't want to risk losing her inheritance and the chance to join her father and grandfather. As Thaddeus works to break down Pricilla's walls, Priscilla finds herself torn as to what to do. She wants Thaddeus but can she risk losing her dream? I liked this book. I did kind of want to shake her and ask her what was she thinking. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

I loved Thaddeus and Priscilla's story!! Thaddeus is ready to get married and wants to find the woman who wants to be with him as much as he wants to be with her. Too bad that the woman that he finds himself falling for has plans to never marry. Priscilla is just bidding her time until she gets her inheritance. Then she will travel the world with her father and grandfather. To appease her grandmother, she appears to be on the hunt for a spouse but she rebuffs anyone that shows an interest. But then the meets Thaddeus. Knowing what she wants form life, she tries to discourage him. But her attraction to him keeps getting in the way. Can these two figure out a way to both get their HEA? I really liked Thaddeus when we met him in his cousin Diana's story and his own made me love him all the more! I'm so glad that Ridley included him in this series! It is usually the man in the story that doesn't want marriage, so this role reversal was a nice change of pace. With them wanting different things, the red, hot attraction between the two cause all kinds of antics for the H/H. I loved that Ridley had them writing letters back and forth between them as that allowed them to get to know each other away from the eyes of the ton. This was a great addition to this series and I can't wait for the next installment!!

Ready for love! Thaddeus seeks his future wife. Priscilla looks forward to travel. Liked the wealthy, untitled lead. Missed the presence and interactions of more of the leads' friends. Enjoyed. 3 1/2 stars. (Standalone read in series.) Voluntarily read ARC for honest review.

I voluntarily read and reviewed and advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This May 14th One Night Of Passion by Erica Ridley hits the bookstands. Do we still say bookstands? Book 3 in the Wicked Dukes Club hits the right notes as a continuation of the series. Ms Ridley and Darcy Burke are taking turns writing the books with Ms Ridley taking the odd numbers and Ms Burke the evens, so far it's working out great. Mr. Thaddeus Middleton is looking for a love match, The One, and he's looking at every event this season. He's danced with every wallflower and searched out every corner of the tons ballrooms. He meets Miss Priscilla Weatherby one Wednesday evening at Almack's. He asks her to dance and she says no, what???? Well, he's intrigued and tries over and again to speak to her, to no avail, she dismisses him every time. The crux of the problem is a 10,000 pound trust her father put restrictions on. She must remain single and scandal free until her 25th birthday. The money means freedom and a life less ordinary. Thad is about to turn that plan on it's ear. He starts to see fairy tale signs and omens so he knows he's right about The One. While there aren't bluebirds singing in the trees we do have an African Grey Parrot who's a hoot. When Priscilla lets her guard down these two have such an interesting, witty back and forth, it's fun. Their journey to a happily ever after has such ups and downs that I was relieved when they got the HEA. I truly think you'll enjoy One Night Of Passion. Happy reading. #EricaRidley #WickedDukes #NetGalley #OneNightOfPassion

Priscilla Weatherby craves adventure and wants nothing else but to join her father and grandfather on their traveling adventures all over the world. Never mind that she hasn't heard from them for almost 10 years and that her father had made her a deal that if she learned to be responsible and was not married by her 25th birthday, she would inherit enough money to join them. Thaddeus Middleton is ready to settle down and is looking for a wife. The one he decides upon is Priscilla but she is not interested in him whatsoever....or is she?! I thought this was such a charming story and I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to end. Erica Ridley is such a wonderful author and I always look forward to reading her books. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The joy and love between Thaddeus and Priscilla were romantic. Priscilla had grand dreams and thought when she turned five and twenty, all her dreams would come true. Thaddeus had a different dream. He wanted a stable loving relationship. Even though they wanted different lives, they could not stop the attraction between them. An excellent read and I do recommend it.

One Night of Passion is the 3rd book in the new Wicked Dukes Club series, a joint project produced by Erica Ridley and Darcy Burke. One Night of Passion is Ridley’s work. It is an amazing story with layer upon layer of complexity. Ridley is a master at giving her characters depth and believability. She has outdone herself with this story. I loved the hero in this Thaddeus Middleton - sweet, cheerful, fun and kind hearted. “As if he felt the whisper of her breath upon his skin, Mr. Middleton abruptly lifted his head and turned in her direction. His gaze locked with hers, too far away to see the golden flecks in his dark brown eyes, but hot enough to warm her to her toes all the same.” I don’t know if Ridley is a psychiatrist as well as an author..but her insight into people and their reactions to their environment is spot on. Her stories peel back the human condition layer by layer - everyone’s longing to be loved and belong. Amazing story. I was gifted a copy of this book.

March 1817, Almack's London, England "Thaddeus Middleton, plain old "mister" in and endless line of plain old misters, considered himself the luckiest of men." Signing the dance card of a wide eyed debutante, he could only think they would both be lucky tonight. He was looking for more than a dance partner. He wanted a wife. The great part was he had a Choice. He thought he might actually run into Princess Charming! I loved this opened few paragraghs! It was a reversal of roles because usually it is the lady looking for Prince Charming, but I absolutely loved Thad and his optimism to find love! "If Almack's was the Marriage Mart, he had a very specific shopping list: True love. What else mattered?" Yep I loved this guy!! Then he spotted her. Miss Priscilla Weatherby whom he had met before several years ago at her come out. But when he approaches her, she really just rebuff him. You see Priscilla was playing a waiting game. She had to wait until she was twenty five to obtain her inheritence, but one stipulation was she had to be out socializing. Well, she did not have much longer to wait and she would be a wealthy spinster and do what she wanted! But Thad is pushed by his cousin to try to get to know her and who knows? She might just be "the One". This was such a delightful humorous story that I could not help but smile through most every page. Would these two get together and would Priscilla consider giving up her inheritance and indepence to fall in love? Erica Ridley always pulls me in with her stories and I just can never get enough! Luckily there are more books in this series that she is writing with the fabulous Darcy Burke and these two authors together are two of my favorites!! Lori Dykes

This is the third book in the series and each book gets better and better! This was such a sweet and humorous romance. Thaddeus (Thad) Middleton was such a sweet romantic gentleman and believed that he would find “The One” and know it right away. Priscilla was trying to avoid marriage and was very ingenious in ways to “hide” while participating in the Marriage Mart. There was so much humor in the interactions between Thad, Priscilla, Koffi and Wednesday. Thad and Priscilla are drawn towards each other but Priscilla wants to experience “adventure” and isn’t wanting to get married. Their HEA didn’t seem possible until Priscilla realizes in the end that what she thought she wanted wasn’t really what she wanted! The story was so enjoyable and easy to read. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Mr Thaddeus Middleton wants a wife, not someone who looks good on his arm, but someone he can love forever. He spends his time at Almacks looking, as it is known as a marriage mart. He is not rich, not does he have a title. He meets Miss Priscilla Weatherby who is someone he wants to know better. She lives with her grandmother, and never knows when her father and grandfather who are adventurers will come back. If Priscilla has no scandal, she inherits a tidy some that will give her enough money to become an adventureress herself. She and Thaddeus become close and realize they are falling in love. Will she be able to leave him when it it time for her to inherit? When her father comes back, it is the perfect time to ask for her hand. This is book three in the Wicked Dukes and I had hoped it would be about Thaddeus as I am in love with him. It was a sweet and spicy romance. I absolutely loved it. I received this book from Net Galley, WebMotion and the author for a honest review.

This is a well written story about a hopeless romantic gentleman and an adventure dreaming almost spinster. Thaddeus is a wonderfully romantic though seems to believe in fate but gives up way too easily. Priscilla has always wanted to join in adventures and to belong. In the end, I love that Priscilla has to rescue herself and Thaddeus and to fight for what she wants and needs.

A different kind of adventure... Thad is looking for love, the kind of love his lucky friends have found. Priscilla is looking forward to turning twenty-five in a year and a half, when she will inherit enough money to be able to live a life full of adventure. She is determined to avoid romance at all costs, but despite her perseverance, the couple finds themselves in danger of losing their hearts to a lover who can't be happy with a lifestyle that just doesn't suit them at all. Add to this the pressure of unrealistic expectations, loss, misguided adoration, disappointment, and longing, and a happy ever after situation seems out of reach until love finally does conquer all. This story is beautifully written; a charming, funny, bittersweet, lovely book that questions what the heart wants, and what the heart needs. I truly enjoyed this book, and was thrilled to receive an advanced reader copy of it from one of my favorite authors. I have decided to leave my honest and heartfelt opinion, which is that I highly recommend this book!

What unusual characters inhabit this series written by two best friends, Erica Ridley & Darcy Burke. This on is about a hero who just wants to find a wife who loves him and a heroine who has no intention of ever marrying. It is a delightful weaving of two individuals looking in very different places for happiness and discovering the true adventure they weave together. We met Mister Thaddeus Middleton in the first book, a welcome member of the Wicked Duke Tavern. He is an untitled gentleman of means who now that his ward, cousin Diana has found a husband, is looking for one himself. He wants a love match as his parents had and his cousin. He won't settle for less but is afraid he's waited too long and missed her. He's an extremely likeable former barrister, who knows everyone and holds the office of MP in Parliament like his father. Miss Priscilla Weatherby has determinedly made herself a wallflower. Her explorer father and grandfather are off in the wilds of Africa and Priscilla is determined to join them when she receives her trust fund at 25. Her mother passed when she was 9 of a broken heart after being abandoned by Priscilla's father. Her grandmother is a bitter old woman after being abandoned by her husband, and rambles around in the old mausoleum of a townhouse with Priscilla. Priscilla is conforming carefully with the terms of her trust fund, attending social events at least 3 times a week, remaining unmarried and making sure no scandal is ever attached to her name. Her greatest fear is being left behind. At Almanacs one evening Thaddeus spies Priscilla and is intrigued. He find himself repeatedly seeking her because she rebuffs him at every turn. He finds himself attracted to a cleaver puzzle of a woman. This series is the first time I've read Erica Ridley and she's enchanted me with her smart strong heroines and story lines that are different from the norm. I find I'm looking forward to the next story she pens in this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

Cole and Val became friends and earned the name the Wicked Dukes (they really are Dukes) at Oxford. The friends now own Wicked Dukes, the most notorious tavern in London. The Dukes have met and made many friends in their welcoming and popular club. Thaddeus Middleton is one of those friends. One Night of Passion by Erica Ridley is the third book in the Wicked Dukes Club series. Thaddeus Middleton is a regular at the Wicked Dukes Club. He enjoys coming to the club, has made many friends, and even found a wonderful husband for his cousin Diana. Thaddeus is a generally happy person, but is a bit lonely. He wants to marry, but he wants to marry for love. He looks in all the right places, but does not find the woman who gives him the spark he’s looking for…until, he does. Miss Priscilla Weatherby does not want to fall in love, marry, or find love. She wants to make it to her twenty-fifth birthday, inherit, and join her father in world-wide adventures. She has high hopes, a grandmother she loves, and a parrot. She will let nothing stand in the way of the future she has planned…or, will she? This is a sweet happy story with a dose of reality thrown into the romance. Thad is happy, sweet, dances with wallflowers, and wants to be loved for himself, not money. Priscilla is a dreamer. She is sweet, beautiful, and caring. The story is an easy read with a bit of adventure (even if most of it is books and dreams), some frustration for the hero, and disappointment for the heroine. This is a well-written easy to read tale that keeps the reader’s attention and keeps you hoping that Thad and Priscilla will take Grandmama’s advice. I really enjoyed this one and recommend it. Who will be the next handsome, charming, sigh-worthy patron of London’s most notorious tavern? I can’t wait to see.

This pair is just as loveable as they are heartbreaking. Thad is utterly adorable to me. He grew up in a home filled with resentment. The only quality he knows his future wife must have is the desire to pick him first; that a life with him is more important than any other dreams she might have. Priscilla longs to travel the world with her father and grandfather; to have innumerable adventures where she’s not the one left behind. How can a man who wants to be first in his lady’s affections make a life with a woman whose heart is set on leaving everything she knows behind? Watching these two as they tried to resist their feelings left me fighting the lump in my throat and blinking my suspiciously watery eyes. All the way through, I longed for them to find the compromise that would give them love and adventure. The story is quite emotional while also being cute and sweet and laugh out loud funny at times. The pets completely stole the show. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author though NetGalley.

Thaddeus and Priscilla, quite conservative names for unconventional characters. Not your usual story, but in fact quite the opposite. I found it delightful and couldn’t stop smiling the entire time I was reading it! I received an ARC for my honest review.

One Night of Passion (Wicked Dukes Club #3) by Erica Ridley ... The is the 3rd book in the WICKED DUKES CLUB series... thanks to the author and publisher for letting me preview it. I am really loving this series and all the wonderful characters ...this book can be read as a stand alone but I do recommend reading the series. This is Thaddeus and Priscilla's story and it is full of twists and turns, laughter, some steamy stuff, some angst and lots of old friends all leading to a very HEA. I can't wait for the next book in the series. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Wonderful characters Entertaining Steamy Happily Ever After Witty Romantic Page-turner Great world building Funny Easy-to-read

Loved the story of Priscilla and Thaddeus! I liked the idea that there was no "evil protagonist" waiting in the wings to destroy the couple. It was just the choices they had to make regarding their past and their future. I wasn't entirely happy with how Thaddeus was sorta romantically sappy in the beginning about finding the "perfect" princess, but his witty conversations with Priscilla made it worthwhile! My only problem was that I don't understand French and several of the comments were lost to me! Thank you for the advanced copy!

This is not your typical love story of a woman who will do whatever it takes to get her man. I really enjoyed the twists in this enchanting story.
