About the Author

Jonni began as a farm kid then, as a young girl, she grew up in a military family, and moved multiple times. She survived a deadly earthquake and a tornado (She and the 2 kids she babysat for huddled in a ditch as it went right over them. She met one of them 20 years later who said, “You saved my life.”) While lifeguarding she pulled an unconscious kid from the pool after he did a belly flop and then met her blind date while still dripping wet. They got married six months later. He was a USAF officer and a B-52 Navigator. With each Air Force move, she worked in advertising at the local papers .
Her doctor put a breast implant on the wrong side and then replaced it. She coached gymnastics and caught a kid ‘flying’ off the trampoline. As a result, she had to get a new implant. She also experienced a major facial injury at work, a terrible car wreck, and survived breast cancer.
She and her spouse often spoke to college and university classrooms, clubs, and social gatherings. They advocated for timely issues to elected officials at the national, state, and regional level. For 16 years, they served as officers on local community and GLBT+ boards, and donated countless hours to those entities.
As a retiree, they bought a large RV, had many more adventures, and saw most of the U.S. and Canada
Besides her spouse and daughter, she loves her 2 granddaughters, 3 dogs, old movies, Star Trek, dragons, and, of course, writing. Her life has been full of adventures. This book is but a snapshot of some of the rest of them.
