Chapter One
Open Canvas
Live the moments of the day as if there is no reason but to just live, Do all you can to make these the best of all the times you are alive, Have faith and a true belief that there is only good, and that the energy around you is made up just for you to enjoy. Live the day without a plan to see just where the day will take you; the adventure is the story, the meaning of a day, created in the magic of your life. This is what it is to live as an open canvas. There are no images planned to create, for you make the art come to life; you bring the color, you create the image of what you would like to see. This comes from the day you are thankful for at the end, just before you go to sleep, looking back at this amazing picture you have created. The best part of all of this is that tomorrow you get to create it all over, a new piece of work, a new painting, a new chance with new adventures, always working toward that masterpiece, that is made in the moments that you are free to create the days that make your life. Your life's work, masterful in front of your very own eyes all around you in everything. Open Canvas!
LIFE
Character
Character is defined in the ability to have the courage to stand strong in the face of fear. The true nature of a person is the essence of their soul that is given at birth; it does not change, only develops as the person grows. People in this life will always be tested, some even pushed to extremes, and it is in these moments that the very essence of character is brought to life-how you tackle the problems, how you rise to the challenge, and how you choose to accept the reality that is in front of you. Some who are strong will rise up and accomplish great things; others will fall. It is not a error either way, but it is the strength and faith that you bring into these moments that determines the outcome of how you choose to face what is in front of you. Without this, there is no real reason to life. We would all be the same, with no uniqueness about us. That is what sets us apart from others. Just how hard are you willing to fight for what you want? How far will you go? What will you do? Will you be honest and truthful or give in to the temptation and cheat and lie to accomplish the goal? That is what defines the character of a person. There tends to be a pattern: the harder a life, the stronger the person, the deeper the character. The goal, once reached, is that much more enjoyed, as you have worked with all that is in your heart to achieve it. You have been through the toughest moments and triumphed, staying the course and working it till the end. Celebrate that. That is what being alive is all about; that is the reason I wake in the morning and the reason I am thankful at the end of my day for I have achieved yet another goal. I have done one new thing that I fear and given strength to all that I am and the character that defines me!
Stands a Man
Here he stands, just a man, Here he stands, just a man, Alone to face the truth of how much strength it will take to never lose the belief, the power he possesses of the greatness he has in the very core of his soul. His feet are sore, his shoes are worn out, for He has walked He has run He has stood He has been to places that the truly brave, truly honest, truly right have the courage to go. No matter the path, be it easy or tough, he is right in front of me, THIS MAN. In front of everyone for the world to see, Within his eyes lie the stories of his life, yet the burn of a passion few will ever know how to achieve. Wondering how tough he is, how strong he must be, to be able to stand right here, where he is today.
Lifeline in Time
With every second that goes by to make a minute, that adds in total to pass into the hour, within every hour, so that forms the moments. The moments build up to form a memory; the memory grows with depth and time stacked together to add up to what you would call your life. Out here in this world is where you will find it, WAITING, ready for all you believe to accept as the reality. Time goes on, and so you have now evolved into a story to tell those that matter most to you, To share and enjoy To share and laugh To share and shock To share and amuse Those then are your life, Given to others through your memories, shared in the moments, spent within the hours that take the minutes to tell, as the seconds pass on, Sweet Beauty Joyful Hopeful Passionate Amazing LIFE!
Change
Changes come with those who are bright enough to realize the potential of the light of their life. With all that I have seen in this world, of all the people who are in my life and have passed through it, it amazes me now looking at those who are not here, just how few know the truth and passion that brings success from change. Today I am more of a man than I was yesterday, for I have learned from the moments, adapted to the change, and incorporated it to my life, to shine brightly to increase my WIND With the three most important of all things, HOPE, LOVE, and FAITH, I can openly and willingly say that I have made the change Change, Change of time Change of self Change of life Change of me Forever embraced through the success of today and driven to the potential that lies out there through the nature of it all Change
Reason
I've seen so many things I wish I could put into words. I let it all out there for a taste of the world. I've laughed at things in life for no real reason I've cried tears of pain and sorrow for no real reason I've seen a day from start to end, stayed awake throughout for no real reason I've been up at times, down in lost moments, felt fear and joy for no real reason I've loved someone I've tried and won I've hurt someone I've swallowed my pride I've felt defeat for no real reason For no real reason at all, I've never been to my knees I've never begged, I've yet to plead I've stood my ground while my world was upside down For no real reason has all I've said and done been judged by anyone. For my reason is my life, my reason is my time, my reason is the reality of the strength that shaped my heart.
Live Just
So the day begins in the moment the eyes open, the body comes alive, your brain is working shifting from the other plain into the reality of the day. Everything now is real, all you do is take into account for you to be judged at the end of your day, when you are alone and accountable to GOD and yourself. I would scribe this about the way to live, the choices you make, and so on and so on, However it would lose its meaning, for my reason of the pen to this paper is to create the words you are now reading Life is simple within the moment of a day What has a beginning has an end The rest is up to you What you will choose to say? What you will choose to do? What way will you choose to act? Remember this LIVE JUST LIVE
Light
Light is what will help you see, it will help you grow It will make you feel alive and awake Light can heal the sick, it can give you strength Light is the gift given from GOD to lead you to the truth of LOVE "ALL" everything is light, It is the way our eyes can see and understand energy. To bring light to your life Light of Faith Light of Passion Light of Truth Light of Wisdom Light for the purpose of being closer to GOD Light is the everything Boundless and endless It is the pursuit of the true happiness Light is a gift Light is the color you bring to your life The way you choose to live is governed by the amount Of light you choose to see
Alive
Forever, now, the light is on, The fire burns, the music plays all around everything, all that life brings. Now right now alive Greatness comes from the depth of the soul of a person Passion from the heart. Life comes from the force of light that shines in the body, The breath of air is to support the existence. Every possible reason to let the world see how deep inside I am alive. Never before has this feeling, this realm of existence been so strong, so bright ALIVE, ALIVE, ALIVE
Gift
For of this moment, right here, some call it the PRESENT. My eyes new, My eyes see, For if the PRESENT is as sure as you read this, as sure as the moment I wrote this There for the GIFT would be LIFE. All the force that motivates and moves me In the eyes of a humble man, lives the heart of a successful man. Seen in the dreams, brought forth in the PRESENT The one true GIFT
Song's Soul
It's an interesting thing, how you can relate almost every experience in your life to a song The happy the sad the breakup the make-up the love the death the pleasure the pain The lyrics speak to you through the melody of the music. What is even more interesting to me Is how the word laid down on paper is permanent. You can change the melody you can change the beat you can change the singer The word inscribed is constant, it cannot change Like people in your life The word is like the true nature of a person's soul The melody and the beat is the everyday the feelings that give the emotions the reality of moments Truth be told, who they really are does not change the depth of the soul like the words engraved Always constant Always with an effect on you.
Stand
Stand tall Stand to be seen Stand for no place to sit Stand for love Stand for truth Stand for honesty Stand for exercise Stand up Stand out Stand strong Stand straight Stand right Stand left Stand behind a line Stand for a spot Stand and smile Stand and talk Stand and look Stand with knowledge Stand with integrity Stand with heart Stand with pride Stand Stand for a belief in something Stand for nothing at all STAND
World
If I had the power to change the world, If I had the power to right all the wrongs on this earth, I would heal the sick I would end hunger I would end poverty I would end war I would end pain I would end loneliness I would end everything that is not derived from Love, passion, and truth. I am but one man with the ability to make The boldest of attempts to make the changes needed to ensure There would be a solid, positive movement forward. To take control of the power to change the world
Madness of Mind
There are days that are lost to me in the time that now stands still, the space of a mind that lost all sense of meaning. Left to the nothing of the freedom of the madness of my thoughts, there needs to be a reason for the choices that I made. Lost still in the darkness of the night, I am still alive enough to wonder if I can somehow find the will to recollect the life that I have lived. Where now is the man who fits the image I see in the eyes of the face in the mirror? What is the meaning in the message that I feel is drawing me in? Somehow again is that a question. Life is so funny that it always comes around to the beginning; sure I learn the lessons, and there should be forward motion and progression. I grow, of that I am sure, for I have the sense of reason to know. I am alone in the madness of the lonely places in my mind; there is hope in the reasoning and outcome of the possibility that tomorrow will be better than the reality of today. Always thankful for the gift of the present.
Lost Me
There are such moments of pure joy that one can take from life. There are days of pure happiness that one can get from life, All this forgotten by this man I know, for he is lost in a world that he created. Hiding the truth that he knows will set him free, Could he be that broken? Could he be that jaded? Could he have lost the reason? Yet you see him smile, you hear him joke, you hear him laugh. He looks at you, looks deeper still, trying with all he can to find reason from within his soul. Eyes open, looking deeper, silence comes to both of you; words cannot begin to describe what the eyes cannot see. Deeper down you stare right down to the depth of the heart; without warning you can feel it come ALIVE THE HEART STARTS TO RESONATE, THE TRUTH YOU CHOOSE NOT TO SEE, The reality that the man I know is the face of the spirit of the mirror image of MY SELF, that I let loose for a while THE HAPPINESS OF WHAT WAS MY LIFE.
Philosopher
Those who lay claim to the use of the word, that they are a philosopher Can there be truth in that? For you do not know me, what is in my mind. You do not know what lies in my heart. You cannot see the world through my eyes, You do not know the path I have walked. What makes a person who they are, is the single greatest tool of all THE EXPERENCE OF LIFE Are we all so different or more alike than we THINK? To THINK is that of free will To CHOOSE is the freedom we have been GIVEN To GIVE is to SHARE what you know To SHARE with others is to TEACH To TEACH is helping others UNDERSTAND To UNDERSTAND is to gain KNOWLEDGE With KNOWLEDGE comes POWER With POWER you could corrupt, leading the untruth of your heart. The reality is, I can only share with you my experiences of life That makes me a student of all that I lay CLAIM to know To CLAIM is a form of POSSESSION To POSSESS of something leads back to POWER I could go on and on for hours I will leave my mark by stating this I am no more a philosopher than anyone else is Rather a man with the freedom to think, the free will to write If my writing be right or wrong it comes from the truth of my heart From my greatest reward THE EXPERENCE OF LIFE.
Accomplishment
Never be afraid if you are lost, searching for answers to the meaning of what happens to you in your life. You are not alone, there are few people on this planet who can say that they know with all that is in their heart, What is the truth of what they see. The reality of it all is most people choose to accept what is in front of them, as it is easier to just live this way. On one's path to greatness, the hardest part of the journey is the beginning, That is when it is all new, you are filled with unknown, you feel like nothing is happening, you figure it's better to go back to what you know and settle. For this way it makes sense to you. I am here to say that if you believe what you want from this life is better than what you have right now, There should be nothing that even comes close to stopping you from the decision you make to chase the dream. Never give up, never give in, push forward, and strive to move ahead. Ask anyone alive today living their dream, they will say how they got to their most successful point, thinking back it all started with two of the hardest adversities, They chose to work through, Struggle and sacrifice.
