About the Author

Dr. Shellie Hipsky educates, entertains, and inspires globally. Dr. Hipsky's career includes teaching students from kindergarten to the doctoral level in the United States as well as in Rome, Italy. She is a graduate of Duquesne University's IDPEL doctoral program in educational leadership and has presented at an international conference on educational leadership at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. The research methodology she created, called the "Pre-Conceptual Map," was taught in a Harvard University Research Methods course. This former special education teacher and assistant principal has published over one hundred articles. Hipsky's authored books include The Drama Discovery Curriculum, Arts Alive, and Differentiating Literacy and Language Arts Strategies for the Elementary Classroom. Her last book was Mentoring Magic: Pick the Card for Your Success (mentoringmagic.net), which is a powerful tool for students around the globe to network and find, form, and sustain a mentoring relationship. She is a frequently requested speaker by educational organizations, corporations, schools, conferences and talk shows on differentiated instruction, mentoring, and powerfully inspirational messages. Her newest book Ordinary People Extraordinary Planet was written in partnership with Ray Leonard whose radio show is listened to in 75 countries and tell the inspirational stories of a dozen inspirational people.
