About the Author

David Gretch, an MD PhD graduate of the University of Iowa School of Medicine, devoted the first thirty years of his career to medical research on pathogenic human viral infections. In addition to Nature and poetry, the author's other interests include hiking and camping with his family and dog, philosophy and healthy living. He isa native of Montana and long term resident of the Pacific Northwest, Issaquah Washington.
