As such, it is a collection of “spiritual paths” that express their beliefs in subtly different ways, explored here in this illuminating guide. Discover the natural beliefs and practices of Wicca, Hedgewitch traditions, Druidry, Shamanism, Asatru, Mystery Groups, and Eclectic Paganism—as well as the Pagan approach to magic and the significance of sacred lives. Learn how to lead a Pagan lifestyle, and explore the growing role of Paganism in today’s world. Whether you’re setting out on a Pagan path for the first time, or have been committed to one for many years, this informative book will help you in expressing your own beliefs and understanding those of others.

I found this book to be well researched, and well written. The amount of information is somewhat overwhelming at times, but is necessary if the reader is to gain knowledge of the different paths. I found this book very helpful in my quest to search for answers. Being mid-life and just coming to terms with the fact that my Christian religion is based on an amazing amount of 'un-truths', this reading will help me tremendously on my new path. I grew up in a Christian church where it was taught that Christianity was the only true religion, that pets don't go to heaven, drinking is bad, and those who don't believe will go to the torments of hell. I never believed it, and now I know that there is more out there in this world than just that Christian propaganda. This book is a great tool that I'll use in my search, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn a small bit about the many Pagan paths.

Handy guide for the clueless to the minefield that is trying to define paganism. Broadly describes the most popular paths, and gives some reasoning behind WHY paganism is so difficult to categorise.
