Overview

Detective Jake Somers has made many memorable trips from Dallas to the quiet little east Texas town of Pecan Gap. However, the past few trips have given him cause for concern. Old friends have told him about the unusual disappearance of residents, vandalism, and flickering lights moving in the night, all very unsettling in a quiet farm community.
At the same time, he is faced with an equally troubling situation in Dallas that involves his girlfriend, the D.A.'s office, the F.B.I., a city councilman, and a notorious drug dealer.

This is an outstanding read. The author does a wonderful job at keeping both mysteries alive and keeping Jake right in the middle. The characters ran smoothly keeping pace to where they should be in the story and overlapping where they should as well.Basically this book has it all, great characters -good guys- bad guys, romance, murder and mystery, and family/friend commitment. That takes one exceptional writer to pull all that off.I highly recommend this book.
