About the Author

Originally from New York, American author/illustrator Lennice Norwood grew up watching shows like Reading Rainbow, which showcased many children's literary works and loved receiving the Scholastic Book Club flier while in grade school as well as reading Highlights, the children’s magazine. Some of her favorite books to read were The Berenstain Bears by Stan and Jan Berenstain, Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel, Grover Goes to School by Dan Elliot and Norman Chartier, In A Dark, Dark Room and Other Scary Stories by Alvin Schwartz and Dirk Zimmer, and Linnea in Monet’s Garden by Cristina Bjork. A great admirer of prolific children's authors such as Roald Dahl, R.L. Stine, Francine Pascal, and Ann M. Martin, she has grown up always wanting to write stories of all kinds, inlcuding children's stories. At present, she’s writing and illustrating several titles. She travels wherever her feet take her and loves dogs, lavender, bran muffins and chocolate… lots and lots of chocolate!
