About the Author

O.P. Dhiman, M.A. (Philosophy and Political Science), M.Ed. retired as professor of Education and Head, Deptt. of Social Sciences from Govt. College of Education, Patiala in 1991 and immediately joined M.M. Modi Post-Graduate College, Patiala as principal. At present he is Hony. Director of this college. Prof. Dhiman has been the Chairman, Sports Committee, Member Syndicate, Senate, Academic Council, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Board of Studies in Education, Panjabi University, Patiala. Prof. Dhiman has published several original books which found wide circulation and appreciative comments from various authorities on the subject. Prof. Dhiman has travelled almost the whole of India and Europe and delivered lectures on different subjects in various universities, colleges and other educational and social forums. He is a very good teacher, eloquent spea ker, c reat i ve wr i ter and democratic administrator.
