Pineapple

A WW1 Centenary novel

Poppy Moss doesn't want to be at Hadleigh Hall, but it's the summer holidays, July 2014. The folks are out, and with her recent past still biting at her ankles, she's not going to be left on her own - even if she'd prefer it that way.
Tariq is quite happy to be at Hadleigh, yet with a puzzle to solve and a promise to keep, staying out of the eagle eyes of the staff can be tricky.

Then there's Robbie, perfectly content with his work and watching the goings-on up at the big house from a safe distance. War is rumbling in the distance, and 1914 is difficult enough already, without love, friends and pineapples causing issues.

All three lives are about to change forever, in ways that nobody could have foreseen. With paths winding across past and present, through love and war, something as simple as a piece of tropical fruit shows how complex life can be - whatever happens.

A book about doing the right thing, even when the right thing is the hardest choice. To mark the centenary of the outbreak of WW1, honouring the brave men and women who honoured us, 100 years in the future.

About the Author

Mia Castle writes all sorts of things, for all sorts of people, under all sorts of pseudonyms. Her best-selling children's series is available in many languages, all over the world, and has been optioned for film.

FANMAIL is Mia's first book for teens from the Mia Castle Collection. Funny and sensitive and touching on the geeky, FANMAIL comes with its own Albuk of inspirational tunes, and two original songs - I CRY and SHOW ME TOMORROW - that are getting their own fanmail via radio airplay and youtube.

PINEAPPLE, a book to commemorate 100 years since World War 1 began, is the second in the Mia Castle collection. Featuring three individuals who cross time, countries and wars to find each other, PINEAPPLE melds a very contemporary teenage heroine with the stories of a few remarkable young men.
