Satan sends his personal Reaper out to fight piracy, from book piracy to horrifying piratical revenge as Medea, the eldest witch in hell, goes after Jason and the Argonauts. Meanwhile, the Fairbanks brothers make a movie of what they see, and Kit Marlowe and Will Shakespeare are told to pen a pirate play, or else. Great fun for the history buff and the literate. The more history you know, the more fun you'll have with Pirates in Hell,e dited by Janet and Chris Morris.

I came across Janet Morris for her Sacred Band series. I'm glad I did because it led me to this novel of hers. Morris has to be in my top 3 list of most under appreciated authors. Each story is crafted with care for the reader. The characters and dialogue are authentic, the scenes are rich, and the plot is believable. Read this now.
