Mrs. Oliver Davidson (nee Margaret Miller) was a writer and poet. She and her husband encouraged the literary efforts of their daughters Margaret Miller Davidson and Lucretia Maria Davidson.

 

Catharine Maria Sedgwick (1789–1867) was a literary critic, short story writer, and the author of several novels, including Hope Leslie, which was published to great acclaim.
