I did take a stroll down memory lane with Mr. Bernstein's vivid descriptions. I recalled those days in NYC knowing, nodding, yes, I remembered.I also related to all the stories within the story. The characters have their own stories to tell. I personally would like to read more from the other character's point of view. Kudos for a very engaging work.

This book is an easy read. Yet, in a subtle way, the book is deep in thought and meaning. You will love the characters in the story, and you will feel like they are real and that you know them. The book takes you thru a whirlwind tour of New York City and if you have lived through the 70's, the reader will take a walk down memory lane. The references to the fashions, music and fads are priceless and you will find yourself smiling as you read much of the book, although Parker, the main character of the book, is somewhat of a tormented man in search of happiness and the reader will feel Parker's inner conflicts as well as his life's pleasures and pain. This is a book that I hope some day will make it to the 'Silver Screen'.
