Overview

Join “Possum” as he journals his experience being a trail horse in Maine. He was your classic horse with a limited respect for humans and limited training in acceptable horse manners. The author, his new owner, was the classic horse-loving woman who wanted to believe her horse would do no wrong, that all her dreams were coming true with the arrival of 950 pounds of horse flesh, named Possum.
Every event actually happened, recorded as they both attempted to make the other a more pleasant and safe trail partner. Possum Tales is written with a refreshingly honest humor that will be
enjoyed by all who ride or just have a passion for horses.

About the Author

Beth Haynes Hadley has always first been a horse lover, then a writer and a photographer. Writing "Possum Tales" was her humorous method of dealing with the frustration of purchasing a horse for a princely sum that was not the right fit for her. She grew up in rural New York State and has always been involved with horses, from owning several, to teaching English Equitation, exercising polo ponies, and riding from ME to PA with the Bicentennial Wagon Train. She has also served in numerous positions for horse clubs and associations. Mrs. Hadley and her husband live on their ranch in MO where they raise beef cattle, have two Missouri Fox Trotters, two dogs, and a small herd of cats. This is her first book.
