About the Author

Jon Young was born and raised on the outskirts of Houston in Kingwood, Texas. He is an alumnus of the University of Texas and the American Film Institute. He worked on various DreamWorks Animation films, including Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar 2. He wrote the family film A Christmas Eve Miracle, and co-wrote the family films A Magic Christmas and the Hallmark TV movie JL Family Ranch starring Jon Voight and James Caan. Jon's golden retriever, Lebowski, was the inspiration for the book.
Betsy Luk is an Illustrator and Visual Development artist, who designs characters and children's toys. She aspires to be a visual development artist for animated feature films, as well as to contribute to Motion Design Projects, Games, and Virtual Reality.
