Epic Win ~ Dreams Do Come True Any story that starts with the words "Epic fail" immediately has my attention. I was in love with Bailey from the opening line to the closing. She's a young woman who isn't a brainless, sex-starved vixen, yet she's no frigid man-hater either. Bailey is twenty-three, studying Chemistry only because it's a prerequisite for her chosen career, and knows she's not going to pass Professor Dominic 'Dom' Jacobs' class since math is her nemesis. Some people don't do numbers. I get that. I can definitely say that a simple question came into play in this one which anyone should be able to pick up on: hot teacher + eager student = incredibly sexy, fun read. So much story happened in this short piece! I am always in awe of how fully-realized all of Selena Kitt's characters are and those featured in Bailey and the Professor are no exception. Bailey wants to be a midwife; I wanted to see her succeed as much or more than I wanted to see her cleavage-baring shirts pay off in an attempt to attract attention from Professor Dom. Dom himself is caring, kind, and demanding in a way that isn't overbearing which I found refreshing. There's a lot more to a power play than someone barks orders while someone else scrambles to obey. I think Selena Kitt did a great job of showcasing that in this short. It's definitely worth a read. I'm really glad that I got the chance to get a glimpse into Bailey and Dom's happy-ever-after. It really did make me think there was always a way to make sure that one's dreams do come true in spite of whatever obstacles might seem to be there to block one's path. Five stars from me for a great read filled with great characters! - ***NOTE: My review is based on a purchase of the Kindle copy over at Amazon since I do not own a Nook.*** ~Shandra Torbett, This Redhead LOVES Books Blog
Not Kitts upsual naughty self. Lacking....
Bailey, with a burning desire to be a midwife, is having a big problem in chemistry class. She has no problem in any other class, but the math in chemistry is getting the best of her and with her score on the test she is ready to throw in the towel. But the opportunity to deliver a baby in the restroom gives her the opening that she needs to get to the professor. She has been interested but he seems to overlook her and tries to help her as much as the other students. But the ice is broken in that restroom and the sparks begin to fly as his desire for grows and he understands what she wants to do with her life. This all leads to a very well written love scene in his apartment once he comes up with a solution to her problem with chemistry. As Bailey states that evening "that was chemistry". Very erotic and interesting story.
In few words, this tale about a girl hoping for her dream career to come true, along with the man of her dreams, is told in the typical deliteful style of Selena Kitt. It is a great read.
Bailey is the Chemistry student who has the hots for Professor Jacobs. Bailey wants to be a Nurse/Midwife. This story has twists and turns on her journey. The relationship between Professor and student is taboo. This is an interesting story for a short story.r
