About the Author

Tom Conyers, an award-winning filmmaker (The Caretaker – 2012), is also a playwright, painter, illustrator and photographer.

Danielle Tara Evans lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband and three furry children. She has been writing fictional stories ever since she was a young child. Her first novel, Escalators, was published in 2012, and her other works include The Cleansing and The Revolt: The Sequel to The Cleansing.

John Cassian is an author of horror/thrillers centered around a serial killer who goes by many names. He has also contributed a short story to a horror anthology series called "Prey." Cassian is not nearly as disturbing in real life as his characters -- or so he would like you to believe....

D.Z.C. lives in Paris and Singapore. Like his creation, he is a specialist in Oriental art and classical culture. Unlike his creation, he has not yet murdered anyone. He likes receiving e-mails from readers, especially if they have pictures of cats in them. deng.zichao8@gmail.com

I was born in Phoenix, AZ, where I still reside, despite the horrendous summer months. I currently live in a suburb of Phoenix with my husband (a truly wonderful man), two dogs, two cats, and three newts (I love love love animals). Right out of high school, I got recruited into the corporate world and found I had a knack for accounting. I spent seventeen years in various divisions of accounting, but never felt fully satisfied by the turn my life had taken. Of all I had imagined my future to be, chained to a desk was not in any of my plans. In one of those wild moments where you're ready to bungee jump off a building, I quit my job and went to work on opening a dog daycare business, with all the support and love of my husband. As I was planning, I used my free time to start a story. I'd read a book and was rather unhappy with the ending, so I decided to write something I would enjoy. It started out as a secret. It was a side hobby, a release, an escape. But one day, my husband came home early and caught me. Instead of allowing me to continue on in secrecy, he planted a seed of publishing in my mind. The thought of being an author went against everything I had made of my life. Security. Stability. Debit and credits. Cars and houses. Textbook accounting. Writing was creativity; no rules, no certainties of success. And I found it...addicting, exhilarating, and something I absolutely loved doing. The dog daycare idea was unattainable for us, but the writing blossomed into a dream I never bothered to dream. So here I am. Who would've thought?

There once was a young man, fiery by Sicilian and Cherokee blood, whose service in the U.S. Marines gave him the courage to win the love of the woman he most desired. He and this tall, blonde-haired, blue-eyed German beauty renounced their scrabble upbringing, that concrete box of city life—they were lured instead by country roads, nature's serenades, and untrimmed pastures. To their daughter, Chance Maree, they offered arm loads of books from the library each Sunday, a college education, and the certainty that if she worked hard enough, that which she dreamed could be achieved. Accustomed as she grew to literary travels, Chance fled rural serenity to taste the complex textures of cities, work in executives positions for high-tech companies, earn a Master's degree, and travel the world. Chance Maree is now a bootstrap novelist and story-telling enthusiast who gravitates towards upmarket fiction with a speculative slant. She strives for plots that twist and surprise. Chance has been transplanted to Texas by her astrophysicist husband where they live with two dogs and a native Texan, scorpion-killing cat.

Thaddeus White writes mostly fantasy, as well as short stories in the fantasy, sci-fi and horror/paranormal genres. In his spare time, he relaxes by reading fantasy and classical history, as well as watching/betting on F1 (with rather mixed results). He has self-published three fantasy novels to date: Bane of Souls, Journey to Altmortis, and Kingdom Asunder (the first part of The Bloody Crown Trilogy). Traitor's Prize, the second part of the trilogy, is due out late 2017. In addition to finishing the trilogy (planning for parts 2 and 3 late 2017/2018 respectively), he is working on two novel-length comedies, Sir Edric's Kingdom, and Sir Edric and the Plague, as well as writing multiple short stories for anthologies. After the trilogy is complete, he plans to return to The Bloody Crown world with more stand-alone novels.
