Thoroughly enjoyed this new addition to the Nocturne Falls Universe. Kira Nyte is becoming one of my favorite authors to follow. In this new addition to Kristen Painter's world, Princess Rhyannon is sent through the veil with the "Heart" jewel that can save her people and her home with instructions to never return. She is being hunted by a black wolf with red eyes who is controlled by a sorceress who wants the Heart to destroy the fairy world. The story is full of fear, danger, magic, and of course love. The ending has a twist I did not see completely coming. If you are looking for a new author, give Kira Nyte a try. The Nocturne Falls Universe stories do not need to be read in order. However, a better understanding of the characters would be helped by reading the original Nocturne Falls books by Kristen Painter.
