1. National University of Defense Technology

When the predecessor of the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), i.e., Harbin Institute of Military Engineering, was founded in 1953, Chairman Mao Zedong personally issued the Motto and titled the academic journal Engineering Science. There are nearly 200 first-rate teachers, including academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, who have made a large number of independent innovation achievements represented by Tianhe-2. In July 2017, the College of Mechatronic Engineering and Automation of the National University of Defense Technology was restructured into the College of Intelligence Science andTechnology, which consists of the Department of Automation, Department of Intelligent Machinery and Instruments, Department of Intelligent Science and Technology, Institute of Unmanned Systems, and Institute of Mechatronic Engineering. The College focuses on the research of intelligent unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, biological intelligence, mixed intelligence, etc.
