* * *
Antiques dealer Britannia Hensley's first day back in London after a seven-year absence seems like an audition for a Survivor in the City episode. Her plane arrives two hours late; she sloshes through blinding rain without an umbrella; her purse is snatched; her hotel room ransacked; some slimeball jabs a gun into her back and tries to abduct her; and every bobby in London's after her for a murder she didn't commit. What's a girl to do when she has no passport, no money, no means of getting any money, and no one she can call? Well, actually there is someone . . . but surely after all these years a handsome guy like Graham's been snatched up by some lucky girl.

About the Author

Before selling her first book – a historic romance – in 1997, Cheryl Bolen enjoyed careers as a journalist and as an English teacher. Her first fiction acclaim came when she was prepublished and won several awards for her fast-paced romantic suspense novels. Since 1998 she's been happy to write full time, and the awards have kept coming. Her first book earned her the title Notable New Author, and in 2006 she won the Holt Medallion for Best Historical Novel. She has also been a runner up for the Daphne for romantic suspense. Her books have been translated and sold on four continents, and they have been bestsellers at both Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and English from the University of Texas and a master's degree from the University of Houston. Her favorite pursuits are reading diaries of dead English women, traveling to England, and watching the Texas Longhorns play football and basketball. She and her professor husband are the parents of two sons who claim to be grown. One is an attorney, the other a journalist.
