About the Author

Val Simone - Val Edward Simone was born in Seattle, Washington, and has been writing since 1980. Mr. Simone has published adult-themed action/adventure novels; historical fiction; western novels; short stories; a collection of thoughts, musings, and observations; a collection of children’s short stories; and several children’s picture books. He continues to work on many other novels and short stories.
He is also a strong advocate of early childhood reading and continues to work with schools, local libraries, and directly with children through parent-assisted workshops, helping children to discover their own creativity through reading, writing, and drawing.
Val currently lives and works in Colorado.
Robert B. Marcus Jr. - Robert B. Marcus Jr. has a bachelor’s degree in physics and a doctorate in medicine from the University of Florida. He has been selling science fiction stories since he was in college, when he made a sale to Analog Science Fiction/Fact. Since then he has published a number of other stories, as well as this novel, and he is a lifetime active member of Science Fiction Writers of America. Most of his fiction is based on accurate scientific principles.
