About the Author

Carl Emil Seashore (1866-1949) was a Swedish-American psychologist whose area of expertise was music. A version of the test of musical ability he created is still used in schools today. His works include The Measurement of Musical Talent (1915), Introduction to Psychology (1923), and Psychology of Music (1938).
