Rain

Rain and January are children who knew nothing but war. They were raised on an underground military base, which they now left behind in order to find others and report on a world long lost and forgotten. Throughout their journey, they're trying to make sense of their surroundings, relying on the training they received and a vocabulary they mostly gathered from a damaged military manual.

The main concept was to see if I can write a story like the animal tales of István Fekete, but from a human perspective. For this, I needed to create a world where the characters are human in nature but were nurtured in a bleak and harsh environment. I wanted to see if there's something even war cannot destroy. This is the story of that something.
