Reviews in Literature and Arts
The idea that I write about is rarely the daughter of its day, and it is rare that it is devoid of a past history through which it moves as a living being moves through the stages of its life, and every idea is proven by its birth, its upbringing, the events of its life, and the fortunes of its days. It continues to grow and grow and advance in its formation and arrangement until it reaches its completion and fulfills its purpose. Then the occasion comes to prove it, so I review its past and look at it in its final form as if I were a father looking at his child whom he sees. People are one individual, and he sees him as several children who were fluctuated in childhood and youth and experienced with imperfection and perfection, and they appeared to him in successive images, each of which had its place in his heart and mind and its memories of his past and present. Perhaps the imperfection of them does not fall short of perfection in the place of love and the place of pride! Abbas Mahmoud Al-Akkad
