The first I’ve read in the Bad Boy Homecoming Series: a multi-author series focusing on a high school reunion and all of those new connections. This installment from Stacey Kennedy is everything I could want in this story as two high school sweethearts meet again and test that connection between them. Travis and Rae were a couple in high school – but both had dreams that started off on different paths away from Catfish Creek. Travis dreamed of a career in music and to do that he left everything and everyone behind. Rae planned from an early age to be a veterinarian, and has set up her own practice right in town. Now with their 10th year reunion coming up, neither is quite sure whether they made the right choices years ago. Travis has been successful, but something is missing. He’s never forgotten the girl he left behind, and perhaps, just perhaps the reunion is a good time to check in with her to see if she feels the same. Of course, keeping in touch and checking in long distance is one thing: but face to face? And Rae, successful with her practice and always making the logical choices, she’s never taken a real risk. But, she can’t help but feel that she’s not entirely happy – and would taking a risk be all that bad? Such a wonderful connection between them and it was nice to see their interactions: almost like nothing had changed since high school. They were wonderfully drawn and their situations so very real that it was hard to not care about them. Kennedy brings emotion and heat to their interactions, and makes you want to see them just chuck everything away to be together. The second-chance romance here was realistic and both characters had that solid mix of desire and fear that allowed them to feel plausible and possible. If this is an indication of the other stories in this series – the reunion trope is alive and strong. I received an eArc copy of the title from the author via Tour Company for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Coming back for the ten year class reunion opens the door to high school sweethearts finding the one they left to pursue their dreams might be more important than anything else in the world. This is a lovely story going back to the past to find your future. I loved it!

He has a gift and the opportunity to use that gift broke them apart. Rae loved him enough to let him go. Now he is back and wants a second chance at making it work. Can she give him another chance to break her heart? This is a sweet and sexy second chance romance that will bring out the awws and leave you with a smile.

Travis Walker returns to his hometown of Catfish Creek for his 10 year high school reunion… and to reconnect with the one person he has never been able to get over. Rae Evans is a successful veterinarian and she has met all of her goals she set for herself after graduation from high school. Even though she sacrificed and decided what was best for the younger her and Travis, she misses how close they once were. No one is more surprised when he shows up on stage at their 10 year reunion… Now with finally being in the same room again, reconnecting is inevitable… but will they be able to move on with each other again, or will their parting break them this time… I enjoyed this book! Rae is young yet smart when she encourages Travis to go follow his dreams and she will follow hers. Unfortunately, as they both live without each other they realize how much the other will always mean to them. Travis has come to realization that he needs Rae in his life and decides returning for his reunion is the chance he needs to establish himself back in her life. I liked both Rae and Travis’ characters and the flashback to their young love. This book was a sweet, sexy and heartwarming second chance romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

4.5 Stars This is part of the Bad Boy Homecoming series. It's a great fast read. Two people chased their dreams and let their love go now is fate giving them their second chance? Rock star Travis has decided to come home for the ten year high school reunion and recapture what makes him feel whole. He's restless an missing an important piece of himself. Rae has finally moved passed or so she thinks because once Travis is back in her life past feelings resurface. All the things that came between them before still stand. I really enjoyed watching these two rekindle that long ago fire that they always had. You can feel the love that still burns deep within them. Makes you hope they can find their way and not let past mistakes repeat themselves.

Sweet, Sexy & Heart! Loved this, sweet and sizzling romance SO MUCH! This was a beautiful, second chance love story. It was charming, sweet, full of heart, with some great, sexy, scenes and it will have you rooting for a HEA. Travis Walker and Rae Evans had been high school sweethearts. After graduation Travis left town to pursue a recording deal, while Rea had big plans for herself to become a veterinarian. After not seeing each other for ten years Travis surprises Rae by returning to sing at their ten year high school reunion. Travis only had one thing on his mind tonight, he wanted to fix everything that was wrong with his life. He wanted to remember what happiness felt like and only Rae could help him accomplish that. These two take a trip into their past for a taste of what they had. But was love, still there between them? Would it ever be enough for Rae to forget practicality and choose him instead? You will have to read to find out. Don't miss this sexy, sweet, sizzling romance full of unexplainable attraction and heart! Loved it! Highly, Recommended! Received an ARC through Tasty Book Tours and voluntarily wrote an honest review.

Wow!!!! Rock Star was a very sweet, sexy second chance romance! From reading the synopsis, I knew it was going to be a sexy read, but I had no idea it would be so emotional and sweet! Travis, a successful musician has come back to his small hometown for his high school reunion hoping to see the woman who got away, as well as trying to find the man he used to be before becoming jaded by his superstar status. Rae has accomplished her dreams as well. She’s the town vet, and she is on the cusp of opening her second clinic. However, she feels like something is missing from her life as well. When the two see each other, the spark and the feelings all come flooding back. Travis doesn’t waste any time letting her know just what he wants. He wants to feel passion again, and she just the woman to give him that. He just wants one night with her. “Tonight’s our one free pass to dip into the past, and I want to take it. Because tonight, Rae”—he brushed his lips across hero neck, and a soft moan escaped her mouth as he murmured—“I want one more taste of you.” However, will one night be enough for this couple that once loved each other “deeply, madly, and irrevocably?” I love a timeless love story, and Rock Star was definitely one of those. Kennedy made sure I knew that by writing the flashbacks of their young love. It made me swoon! Not only was the romance fantastic, but the character development was as well. Both of them went after their dreams and got them, yet they realized those dreams aren’t as important without sharing them with someone you love. At times, Travis broke my heart. He loved the music, but he didn’t necessarily love being a star. He loved the fans, but they didn’t know the real Travis. He had all the fame and people around him constantly, but he was alone. Hardly anyone knew him, nobody knew him like Rae. Somewhere along the way, he lost the carefree spirit he had. Rae treated him like she always did. She knew who he was in his soul, not the superstar. Rae also found out dreams can be empty when you have no one to share them with. She knew what true love really was. She didn’t want to hold Travis back from his dreams, so she pushed him toward his goals, while her heart was completely breaking. She had to be strong, so I loved seeing her let her guard down and telling Travis exactly how his leaving affected her. Plus, she was an avid reader, so how could I not love her! The series, Bad Boy Homecoming, is an entire series, each book about a different couple. I love this idea, and I’m planning on reading the entire series! 4.5 stars Welcome to Bad Boy Homecoming! Five bestselling authors got together to see what happens when bad boy heroes (and even a bad girl or two!) roll back into a small town in Texas for their High School reunion. Sexy times, angst-filled memories, and second chances abound with this contemporary romance series. ONE REUNION... FIVE SECOND CHANCES Rock Star by Stacey Kennedy was a sweet, fun and heartwarming second chance read. Rae and Travis touched my heart with their story. After 10 years they finally get another chance at the love they put aside while they both went out to chase their dreams. While both have great careers, something is missing, love. I loved how their story unfolded, they were honest and open with their feelings and determined to find a way to be together. They had a strong attraction and their chemistry was off the charts! Overall, Rock Star is a beautiful, heartfelt second chance romance that will bring out the feels and leave you with a huge smile on your face.

This was a fairly well-paced story and it plays out as one would expect when it comes to second chance romances. Both Travis and Rae achieved what they had set out to do ten years prior at the expense of their relationship. I liked that they had kept in touch during the decade apart because it proved that there was no bad blood about what happened. Travis was a good guy but for someone who makes a living out of putting his thoughts and emotions out there, I wish he had learned to fully commit to what he wanted from Rae and been honest about it. Rae was the logical one between the two of them, but there was something about her that had me hesitating to fully like her. Maybe it was because she had a habit of being the one to walk or push Travis away, even though it was clear that she wanted to have her cake and eat it too--in short, she wanted Travis and to be a successful vet. The panic attack incident seemed so out of character, but hey, it looked like it was exactly what she needed. That and her best friends talking some sense into her. Overall, Rock Star was a pretty good, four-starred romance read. ♥

Stacey Kennedy’s ROCK STAR is an entertaining second chance romance. The last person Veterinarian, Rae Evans, expects to bump into at her ten-year high school reunion is her now-famous rock star ex-boyfriend, Travis Walker. This contemporary romance is suitable for adult audiences. Stacey Kennedy does a wonderful job with her character development. Travis and Rae are both likeable characters. They are both driven. Travis thinks with his heart, whereas Rae, is more practical. The couple never stopped loving each other, despite the years apart. They are both likeable and believable individuals. They are stronger when they are together. ROCK STAR was skillfully written. I like how the story started out with the prologue. Travis and Rae parted on good terms, having dreams that took them into different directions. I love that Travis returns to Catfish Creek to seek Rae out. ROCK STAR is a thought-provoking and enjoyable read. There were some interesting obstacles and situation the couple faced. I love the ending. It felt well concluded. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

“One touch. One taste. He wanted to remember what happiness felt like.” “You breathe life back into me, Rae.” Rae and Travis shared an unforgettable love once upon a time. They were young and had their whole lives ahead of them. In order to fulfill their dreams, they could only do one thing…let each other go. Now, 10 years later, these two lovers will be reunited at their high school reunion. Travis knows he doesn’t have a lot to offer Rae and doesn’t want her to give up her life. He just wants one more taste of the life he once had. However, one more taste is easier said than done. A woman like Rae is not one that could be easily forgotten… Rock Star was a quick and easy read for me. I was pulled into Rae and Travis’ story from the very beginning. I loved how strong their love and devotion to one another was and how their were both willing to go after their dreams. I loved that Travis and Rae’s connection was just as strong as ever; even after ten years. It was as if no time had passed. Their chemistry still as intense as ever and boy did they ever steam up the pages together!!! That being said, Travis and Rae have both grown as the years have gone by, but at the heart of it, they are still the same. Only time will tell if they will take the jump and not let another opportunity at love pass them by… I thought Rock Star was a lot of fun and the perfect short read.

Rock Star is the fifth book in the Bad Boy Homecoming Series but the first book that I read and I have to say that I love the fact that each of these book can be read as a standalone, but believe me once you read one of them you'll want to read them all. Rae and Travis were high school sweethearts but life separated them, now fast forward ten years where he is a successful Rock Star and she is making her dream of being a Veterinarian and owning two veterinary clinics by the time she's thirty come true. Now it's time for their 10th High School Reunion...... Rae and Travis are great together! I totally understand why they split in the first place and you can see that they never forgot one another and they still care deeply no matter that ten years have passed and they haven't spoken since their split. This book was a fun, HOT, quick read that I enjoyed so much it had me wanting to read more about the Bad Boy Homecoming, which I did so be on the lookout for my other reviews for this series. **I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book**

This is book #5, in the Bad Boy Homecoming series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order. Travis chose 10 years ago to live his dream. His girlfriend at the time chose the same. After spending so much time apart he has decided to go home. He has also figured a few key things out. Rae gave up her man to follow her dreams. She knew he needed to follow his as well. Now he is a famous musician in demand, and they never see one another. With him home for their high school reunion - can they get a real second chance at the love they share? This story was full of emotions. I loved how the characters desired to put one another first. There was a lot that impressed me in this book. I thought it was a great addition to the series. I cannot wait to see more from this author. ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

Ms. Kennedy is new to my reading pile, but after reading Rock Star her presence is set to become constant. The lure of Rock Star is the glamorous bad boy celebrity. Travis has more fame than he can handle, more money than he could ever hope to spend but his heart keeps pulling him back to the woman who knew him without all the trappings. Rae was the other half of his soul. He broke her heart and now he wants a chance to mend it. With Travis and Rae, Stacey Kennedy teases, pleases and proves that bad boy Travis is just as risky a prospect as trying a new author, but the payoff is so worth it in the end.
