The trouble being that every suitable suitor she finds ends up falling for Emma herself but is Emma so

focused on Harriot she is failing to see what could be her own true love?

Agnes Grey: Agnes Grey is the debut novel of Anne Bront�, sister of Emily and Charlotte. The novel

follows Agnes Grey, a governess, as she works in several rich families, the novel is said to be based

largely on Anne Bront�'s own experiences working as a governess.

About the Author

Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888) was an American novelist and poet best known as the author of the novel Little Women and its sequels Little Men and Jo's Boys. Raised by her transcendentalist parents, she grew up among many of the well-known intellectuals of the day such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Henry David Thoreau. Little Women is loosely based on Alcott's childhood experiences with her three sisters.
