Second volume to a very good fantasy collection - well worth a look
Continuing on from the first volume about a fantasy world in which Rose discovers her true nature as a Guardian in a conflict with the queen who is merciless and cruel. In this volume Rose is separated from Thorne and all the major characters participate, one way or another. There is a lot of explanation with flashbacks to help the reader understand the plot. I'm rtreading the Paolini series about Eragon at the moment and there are similarities (praise indeed).
The artwork is clear, well-executed and detailed, some of it reminding me of Walt Simonson (the faces in particular). Very enjoyable and I look forward to reading the next volume.
