About the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Tracy Wolff wrote her first short story—something with a rainbow and a prince—in second grade, around the same time she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blume novel. By ten she’d read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she’d found her life-long love. A one-time English professor with over fifty novels to her name, she now devotes most of her time to writing romance and dreaming up heroes. She lives in Austin, Texas, with her family.

Reaching into the backseat, I grab the large bouquet of wildflowers I picked up on the way. Usually I’d go for roses, but usually I don’t pay enough attention to a woman to try to figure out what might impress her. Savvy definitely didn’t seem like the champagne and roses type, despite how we first met.

Niall is on the sidewalk in front of my car before I even get the door open. “We need to go inside first, check the place out.”

“On the off chance an assassin is waiting for me in the house of a woman I barely know who has no idea that I’m coming?” I brush past him. “I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen.”

“We need to be sure,” he insists.

“I am sure,” I tell him. And maybe I’m being a douche about this—we’re all on edge after what happened to Garrett. But I actually like this woman and the last thing I want is to have the small chance I’m trying to carve out with her go up in smoke because I invade her home with my cavalcade of guards.

“I’m certain that you are,” Avery says, face grim and voice all business. “But we aren’t. And it’s our job to ensure your safety.”

“Which you can do from right here. I promise to keep my phone on me at all times.” I point to the two open windows at the front of the house. “And I promise to yell really loudly if someone attacks me.”

“I’m sorry, sir, but that’s not good enough.”

“It’s going to have to be,” I tell him, with a clap on the back.

I start toward the house, my faithful detail at my heels. When I’m two steps away from the front door, I turn and give Lucas a beseeching look. He’s been my guard the longest and knows—despite my reputation—that I don’t play fast and loose with my detail. He also knows that I rarely (and by rarely, I mean never) go through this much effort for a woman.

“What if I promise to stay in view of the windows the whole time?” I tell them. “I’ll park myself right there in front of that one and you can make sure I’m safe.”

Lucas looks like he wants to argue, but I cut him off before he can even start. “Come on, man. You’ve got to give me something. I like this woman.”

He sighs, but in the end—above the very vocal protests of the very serious Avery—he nods. “In sight the whole time,” he orders and for a moment I feel like a junior high kid on his first date.

But beggars can’t be choosers and I know, better than most, what a disaster it would be if something happened to the spare three months after the heir disappeared. Wildemar would be in absolute chaos. There’s no way I’d put my country through that, girl or no girl.

“I promise. And if I disappear from sight for more than five seconds, you have my permission to come crashing in after me.”

“I think you’re forgetting,” Niall says with a narrow-eyed look, “we don’t need your permission.”

“Geez. Way to be a killjoy.”

“Yeah, well, someone in this relationship has to be.”

“Aww, Niall.” I slap his ass with my free hand on my way by. “Don’t you know it’s more fun when everyone’s having a good time?”

Lucas snorts and Avery sounds like he’s strangling on his own tongue. I can’t help grinning as I make my way to Savvy’s front door. Maybe it won’t take as long to break in my new bodyguard as I was afraid of.

I can hear music through the open windows, Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie,” and I can’t help thinking about the way Savvy’s hips looked in her black work pants. Can’t help wondering about what she’s wearing now—and whether or not she’ll let me get another good look at her luscious, heart-shaped bum.

At least she’s home, I tell myself as I knock. While I knew she wasn’t scheduled to work, I was afraid she might be running errands or something.

She’s at the front door in seconds, her big brown eyes wide and inquiring . . . at least until her gaze meets mine. “What are you doing here?” she demands.

“Wow, way to make a guy feel welcome.” I hold the flowers out to her. “These are for you.”

“Thanks, but I’m allergic.” She starts to close the door in my face, but I get a foot wedged in before she can shut it completely.

“Are you seriously allergic?” I ask, still holding out the flowers. What I really want to ask is Are you seriously going to slam the door in my face?

“No.” She studies the blooms for a couple of seconds before snatching them out of my hand. Then she really does close the door and I’m so surprised I don’t do anything to stop her.

Behind me Lucas, Niall and even Avery are full-on laughing now. In fact, I’m pretty sure the only thing keeping them from absolutely annihilating me is the fact that I am still their prince. That somehow only makes it worse.

Gritting my teeth, I ignore them (and try not to remember the good old days when I could have had them banished to the dungeon) as I lift my hand to knock again. But before my knuckles can even meet the wood, the door flies open again and Savvy is standing there, smiling hugely at me.

“I’m just messing with you,” she says as she pulls me inside. “But I have to say, your expression was priceless. Is that the first time a woman’s ever shut the door in your face?”

I think about. “I’m pretty sure it is.”

“I figured. But hey, now you can cross it off your bucket list. Every guy needs to have the experience at least once, don’t you think?”

“I think I was good without it ever happening, actually. Definitely didn’t feel like I was missing anything.”

“Maybe not,” she concedes. But then she grins and it’s so wicked, so wild, that I can feel it all the way to my bones. “You’ve got to admit it was funny, though. God, if you could have seen your face.”

“I’d rather look at yours.” The cheesy line pops out of nowhere and I’m not sure which one of us is more shocked. Shit. What the hell is happening to me? Savvy throws me off balance just by breathing, and I don’t have a clue what I’m supposed to do to stop it.

Or even if I want to stop it. God knows, every time she opens her mouth—or closes a door in my face or spills a glass of champagne on me—it only makes me hotter. Only makes me want her more. There’s something about how she’s always doing the unexpected, always surprising me, always challenging me, that turns me on in a big way.

The little white shorts and tiny red camisole don’t hurt, either.

And I know I’m not the only one, know the heat isn’t only on my side. I’ve been with enough women in my life to know when one’s attracted to me, and Savvy is, even if she doesn’t want to be.

Half of me wants to push on that a little bit, wants to see where it’ll take me if I get in her space right now. But the other half doesn’t want to risk it, not yet. Not with this woman who is a lot of things, but definitely not predictable.
Besides, I’m pretty sure my time allotment is reaching its upper limits, and I don’t doubt that Avery will come crashing through the front door in about thirty seconds if I don’t get where he can see me.

“Do you want some lemonade?” Savvy asks as she starts walking toward the kitchen.

“I’d love some. But do you mind if I hang out here while you get it?” I take a few steps to the left, making sure to line myself up directly in front of the window.

She turns to me, eyebrows raised, and I figure I might as well own up to the problem. “My babysitters like to keep an eye on me at all times,” I tell her as I point out the window.

She glances from me to where Niall, Lucas and Avery are standing on the sidewalk in their suits, eyes trained on me—and her.

I expect her to be a little annoyed—most women who aren’t crown chasers usually are—but Savvy just laughs and waves. “I’ll pour five glasses of lemonade,” she tosses over her shoulder as she makes her way to the kitchen. “Get comfortable and I’ll be right back.”

From another woman, the invitation to get comfortable would mean she’s down to screw, but I’m pretty sure Savvy just wants me to take a seat. More’s the pity.

I love Tracy Wolf's books but this one was extremely disappointing. Couldn't even get through the first chapter. No character development, the story falls short and I don't feel chemistry between him and the love interest. Sorry

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book, it was terrific. It sounded good, but I was afraid it would turn into kind of a joke. I was so wrong about that! His Royal Hotness is definitely hot, as is the book, but there is also plenty of depth in the story to keep things real. Family love, duty to country, loyalty. All very good things. Kian, the prince, is a person who really matures into his potential in this book. Tracy Wolff is a new author for me, and after reading Royal Pain, I am SO looking forward to the sequel, Royal Treatment. I will also look for other books of hers to enjoy. I give this book 5 hot stars and recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Usually the first born gets the first story. This is about the “spare.” Looking forward to book 2

There is no story development. Period. The description makes you think oh wow this could be really good then you go and waste 5 dollars on nothing but make out sessions and bits and pieces of a story buried so deep in the book you forget he’s a prince with a missing brother! Why the f$&@ was this published?!

Well writen. More like Cinderella than real life.

Sometimes, its good to be royal or at least that's what Wildemar's playboy prince thought. Why should the handsome Prince Kian care about what happens at home if he is only the spare ... the just in case royal heir? Life has a way of twisting things about and with the kidnapping of Wildemar's Royal Heir (Garrett), the spare is called to duty. Every Prince Charming must have the girl from the wrong side of the tracks and that role is filled by Savvy (Savannah), the American who has her own secrets. The hero and the heroine have very good chemistry and while reading it is easy to see what draws them together. Savvy is the independent heroine while Kian is accustomed to women falling at his feet. For the first installment to the His Royal Hotness series, this was a solid entry with characters (primary and secondary) that kept the reader's interest. Also, there is enough angsty material that makes this first entry hard to put down.

This was a fun, smart, and sexy book! Kian is the spare twin prince who was never supposed to be king but his twin brother has been kidnapped and presumed dead and he has been called back to the palace. He is now in the one place he never wanted to be and fighting off the crown chasers. He has his eye on Savannah Breslin though, a fiesty waitress who is everything he is looking for. She, though, does NOT want anything to do with royalty. This was so much fun. **Received this ARC for review from the publisher via NetGalley**

Good solid book. I liked the relationship between Kian and Savvy. They had good chemistry and I was rooting for them to be together. This was a cute and sweet story with a lot of steam between the mcs. I liked the conflict and resolution to this one. It fit the book well. Looking forward to Garrett's story.

This was a really interesting book. It had drama, suspense, sadness, chemistry, romance and one really bad royal. How can you go wrong?

As a reader this book was very slow moving for me and made it hard to connect with Kian and Savvy outside of the very well written steamy parts. When I read the blurb, I was excited but once I started reading I was thrown. I am fine with the instant love and the fact that she and his twin brother had a thing but after a while confidence and growth needs to take form. A relationship needs to be more than "getting off." Why fight what could be magical. It took a while but they got there. I guess with all bumps and doubts things just click. That is what it did at the end... click

This is the story of how Savannah AKA "Savvy" meets Prince Kian. How with everything going on in his life right now, he cannot forget about her. Even with his brother missing, all Kian wants to do is be with her. Savvy just wants to be left alone. She has a hard time keeping her mind of Kian as well. The attraction between them is sizzling so strong, it is like a living thing. There are past secrets that threaten what they are beginning to have. Can they move past the trouble? These are some fun characters to read. Sexy times and heat are all throughout this story. It is a joy to turn each page and feel the heart that beats between the two MC's. I cannot wait until I can read the next installment in the His Royal Hotness series! ***This early copy was given by Netgalley and its publishers in exchange for an honest review.

This is actually a 3 1/2 stars. I liked the passion between these two people and how they overcame their issues. Savvy promised herself to stay away from Royals. Kian never expected to be the responsible Royal. Both were willing to ignore their internal warnings to find some happiness, even though misunderstandings almost split them apart. The harder part for me was what felt like a rush to the ending. There are several secondary characters that I would like to revisit in the next book. I plan on reading the next in the series when it comes out. I received a copy of this story through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.

3.5 stars--ROYAL PAIN is the first installment in Tracy Wolff’s contemporary, adult HIS ROYAL HOTNESS erotic, romance series. This is Prince Kian of Wildemar, and waitress Savannah Breslin’s story line. Told from dual first person perspectives (Savvy and Kian) ROYAL PAIN follows the building relationship between Prince Kian of Wildemar, and commoner Savannah Brelsin. Weeks earlier Crown Prince Garrett of Wildemar, and Kian’s twin brother disappeared without a trace. Presumed kidnapped by an anti-monarchy group, Garrett’s whereabouts and safety are unknown. Enter Prince Kian, the spare to the heir’, and a man completely unprepared to ascend to the throne. A manwhore by reputation but a skilled member of the country’s military, Kian is all about partying and fun including his new found interest waitress Savannah Breslin. What ensues is the building relationship between Savannah and Kian; the search and rescue of Prince Garrett; and the potential fall out as Savannah struggles with her position in the Prince’s life. ROYAL PAIN is a story of family; a dysfunctional family wherein the patriarch is all about position and presentation but a presentation that appears to place the people of Wildemar ahead of his own sons’ welfare but appearances can be deceiving. While the search continues for Prince Garrett, Prince Kian endeavors to mourn the potential loss of his brother as he drowns himself in Savannah Breslin. The relationship between Savvy and Kian is one of immediate attraction, but an attraction that is complicated by Kian’s royal heritage, and Savannah’s history with a former love that is revealed very early into the story line premise. The $ex scenes are numerous, intimate and intense. Kian is desperate to bury the pain of his brother’s kidnapping with a woman who will not be accepted as a royal mate. I had a difficult time connecting with the characters including the relationship between Kian and Savvy. I know there is a psychological explanation behind Kian’s need to seek comfort from Savannah Breslin but it is Savannah’s romantic history that is a bigger concern in spite of Kian’s need for our story line heroine. I am purposely being vague about Savannah’s past because it should have been a major point of conflict but was brushed over and accepted too easily and quickly. The premise is entertaining but it lacked the emotional ‘feels’ under the circumstance; the characters are superficial; the romance is energetic and edgy. I am looking forward to Garrett’s story-here’s hoping he is able to overcome the tragedy of his recent abduction.

I’ve read one of Tracy Wolff’s books before, and I loved it so much that I jumped on Royal Pain. Mystery plot with a royal main man? I’m in! This is a good start to Wolff’s His Royal Hotness series. Prince Kian enjoys his life of excess when it all goes topsy-turvy. His twin brother, Garrett—the Crown Prince of Wildemar—disappears. All of a sudden, Kian’s no longer the spare and is taking on the mantle of responsibility and respectability that his position demands. Enter Savvy, waitress and bartender and free spirit. She hooks Kian but good. If only she wasn’t holding her own secrets. I wasn’t Kian’s biggest fan at first, but he slowly won me over. Kian’s not used to having the responsibility of the crown on his head, and he really doesn’t want it. He’s feeling choked by it. And with the mystery surrounding Garrett’s disappearance, he’s flying blind. Savvy rescues Kian one night, and it’s a quick insta-lovey connection. Savvy doesn’t let Kian rely on usual playboy persona, and she’s not falling for his charms. I enjoyed this about her. She says what she thinks, but she’s never reckless. There’s a whole lotta sex, which I loved! These two have plenty of chemistry, and dang, is Kian a generous guy ;) The second half really stole the show for me. I was wavering about 3.5 stars, but ended up giving it a four because of it. The suspense kicks up a notch, and I was turning pages like mad. I just wish we had gotten more background on Savvy and that the first half was as engaging as the latter. Overall, I’m really looking forward to book two. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

'Royal Pain' Tracy Wolff is the First Book in a New Series called "His Royal Hotness". This is the story of Prince Kian of Wildemar and Savannah "Savvy "Breslin. Kian has a nickname 'His Royal Hotness' and since he was born 7 minutes later than his Twin brother Garrett, his is the spare heir. Kian likes being the spare heir since it allows him all the Royal Benefits but none of the Royal he is a playboy. Loving life until his father calls him home because his brother is missing and they are worried something might happen to him. Now thirteen weeks later still no word on his brother but Kian is having to do Royal activities. At one of theses Royal activities he meets Savvy. Savvy is helping to waitress at the event and ends up dropping drinks on Kian. That leads them to talking where he tries to talk her into sleeping with him. But she doesn't go for it and leaves without telling him her full name or her number. Kian is very attracted to her and has his security people find her. Although Savvy had some secrets and there was some dram to this story it was a was really a modern day Cinderella type story. "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

If you like your romances filled with suspense, kidnapping, drama, heartbreak, tragedy, a secret, sparks, angst, a smart mouth waitress, a hot, naughty, playboy prince, twists, and plenty of steam, then check out Royal Pain by Tracy Wolff. I volunteered to review an advanced readers copy of this book.

This was a good read. A bit of a Cinderella story, Prince Kian is forced to take on some royal duties when his brother goes missing. Savvy is a waitress and not interested in the royal drama. Will Prince Kian get his Princess? The story has plenty of drama and I liked both characters. I am looking forward to more in the series.

**I received a copy via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.** Royal Pain was an okay read. I expected the story to have more action than it did from the way it started, but some parts of this story was a bit slower that I expected. I absolutely loved the back and forth banter, the playfulness. the chemistry and the steamy scenes between Prince Kian and Savannah "Savvy." However, as much as I loved their interaction, there were parts of the story that were just okay. I wasn't consumed by this story or hooked by it. I liked the characters well enough, but I didn't care much for the king and the way he treated both of his sons. Yes, they had huge responsibilities but he was a bit ruthless to me. Garrett accepting everything the way he did seemed a bit unbelievable but I guess it was good for Kian and Savvy. The ending was sweet and I really liked how Kian didn't let his position control his life and what he wanted. I also would have liked an epilogue. It wasn't a bad read, it was just an okay read for me.

What is it about royal stories that is so addicting? You can start your royal wedding watch with this sexy, witty and very twisty story. In this series kickoff book we meet Prince Kian of Wildemar, the heir’s spare who leaves all royal burdens to his older brother by minutes while indulging in all its benefits until his twin is kidnapped un quickly all future kingly responsibilities and attention turn to him, including that of the crown chasers. But no woman has ever caught his notice like the quick witted American waitress who spills Champaign all over him. Savannah Breslin only wanted to rescue him from the clutches of a greedy woman. She’s uninterested and completely unaffected by his charming playboy ways. But there’s something about her Kian can’t resist, and even though she doesn’t deserve to get pulled into the spectacle that is his life he pursues her any way and soon finds out she knows more about him and his brother and anyone else. Can the the prince and the pauper find their fairytale happy ending? In the chaos came from his brother’s kidnaping, Kian found peace from the panic and fear for his brother, freedom to be himself and overall happiness, not to mention an undeniable chemistry with Savvy. But despite the past that binds them and the connection they’ve found, Savvy knows their fledgling relationship is only temporary. His position would never allow them to be together, especially if he’s to be the king. She’s already been there, done that, nevertheless decides to take advantage of whatever time they do have. “His Royal Hotness” Prince Kian, might have been a bad royal, but once in love he’s a man on a mission to get the girl no matter who stands in his way. I was sucked into this story right from the start with Kian and Savvy’s sizzling attraction, quick exchanges and royal disasters. It was a delightful escape and I can’t wait to read the next installment. Royal Pain is book #1 in His Royal Hotness series by Tracy Wolff. It is a full length contemporary romance. It packs a ton of light and flirty moments along with sexy electric ones. Told from both points of view with a happy ending.

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. Kian aka His Royal Hotness is living the life of a playing until his brother disappears and then life changes. He ends up meeting Savvy and they have a insta-love, I however wasn't really feeling it much. I love Tracey Wolff, but for some reason, this one just couldn't grab my interest I think that is why it took me so long to read it, I have had it on my shelf for a while, and I do not like doing that. It did have it's points, We did have some hot parts, we did have some emotional drama. And, I do not know about you but the ending was I don't even know how to explain, so I wont even try, however I will still recommend so that maybe you can contact me and we can discuss and see if you have a different outlook. I will still follow her, because I do enjoy most of her stuff. And I do have questions that were unanswered

ARC provided by NetGalley for my honest review. Savannah and Kian meet when she rescues him from unwanted attention for an overzealous woman. Savannah is the bartender at a high society function and sees Kian needs saving so she steps in to help but causes him to get drenched in champagne while doing the rescuing. Kian is intrigued by Savannah and has his staff get him information about her. Little does he know that Savannah is very familiar with Kian. Savannah is stand-offish and keeps a secret about knowing someone close to Kian to herself. When he discovers the truth, he does not take it well. Savannah has been burned by love before and wants to protect her heart. Her parents died and she feels that everyone leaves her eventually. Kian is unaware of this and doesn't understand why she is so reluctant to be with him. Kian has spent the past 3 months trying to find his brother, Garrett, who was kidnapped and his fate does not look good. He and his father, the King, do not see eye to eye most of the time and butt heads quite a bit. Kian doesn't want to be king one day and is more than okay with his brother being the heir apparent. He did act like a spoiled child at points and it did get kind of old after a while. You will have to read to see what happens between he and Savvy, along with Garrett since spoilers are not my thing. I will say it did end well and was a good read overall

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book OH WOW I loved this book so much, His Royal Hotness Prince Kian of Wildemar YUMMY. Yes when you first start on this book you think UGH another playboy. But once his story starts to unfold you root for him to get the girl. and OH BOY the chemistry between Kian and Savvy (Savannah) it is mindblowingly hot. Savvy also has a secret that she has not told Kian yet, She knows his brother The Heir to the thrown Prince Garrett of Wildemar. They are both beside themselves waiting to see who has kidnapped Garrett and if his is still alive or not. I cannot WAIT to read his story because the way this book ended you know Garrett will be dealing with alot of things coming. I highly recommend this book It was not like all the other Royal books I have read lately

Oh, man did I have fun with the book! I could not put it down! The characters, the was all great! His Royal Hotness, Prince Kian is the second born son of King Wildemar and the spare to the heir. He spends his days partying and nights with different women...and he is just having fun. When his twin brother, Garrett, is kidnapped, Kian's life as he knows is over. He must step into his brother's duties. While at a function, being harassed by all the eligible females and their mother's, a waitress "accidentally" drops champagne all over him. Suddenly Kian is VERY attracted to this waitress, Savannah Breslin. Problem is that Savvy is not falling all over him like most females do and that only makes Kian want her all the more. Kian continues his pursuit of Savvy, and eventually she gives in. What neither of them expected was that their union was going to be explosive. Savvy knows she should not be with Kian, be he makes her feel so alive, unlike someone else from her past, that she can't let Kian go. Kian realizes that his feeling for Savvy are something that he has never felt before. Just when their relationship looks like it headed for happy ever after....a big bombshell is revealed. While Kian is trying to handle this bombshell, a rescue of Prince Garrett is finally happening. As Kian is trying to sort out his life, his feelings for Savvy, and having his twin back, he has some real soul searching to do. It was a long and emotional road for Kian to find his happy ending, but the ending was so worth it! I just adored Savvy. She was such a strong female character, knowing what she wanted and didn't want in her life. I really loved Kian too! He went from this fun, sexy playboy, to a man so totally in love! Read this will not regret it!
