Kathleen Irene Paterka is the author of numerous novels which embrace universal themes of family and home, including the Women's Fiction series, "The James Bay Books". Kathleen began writing at a very young age and went on to distinguish herself as the resident staff writer for Castle Farms, a world renowned castle listed on the National Historic Register. Kathleen is co-author of the non-fiction book FOR THE LOVE OF A CASTLE, published in August of 2012. Having lived and studied abroad, Kathleen's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Michigan University. I loved this story from beginning to end. It drew me in with the tie to royalty and kept me reading to the very last word. I know the tiara on the cover got the attention of the "princess" in me. Paterka's characters always speak to me with their realistic reactions to situations, whether the reaction is right or wrong, it is a very human one... This is one of those books that I will be reading more than once because I find new things to think about with each reading.

Royal Secrets is a lot of fun and always kept me on my toes! There was a plot twist in there that through me completely off guard and made this really hard to put down. I loved the Las Vegas setting, I though the royal family plot point was great (and the timing works so well with the Royal Baby Countdown), and the characters had depth and were interesting to read about. I highly enjoyed this story, and I hope you will read it!
