About the Author

Mr. Royce Sarpy is a native Texan born in Houston, Texas. He grew up in Dallas, Texas. He started his work with youth through his mother's non-profit before moving to west Texas for college. Mr. Sarpy is an alumnus of Texas Tech University and Texas State University. At Texas State, he earned a Master's of Elementary Education. He relocated to New York City teaching elementary school in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brownsville, and East Harlem. In 2019, Mr. Sarpy was admitted to Howard University School of Education's Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies program.
