Sabians...in ancient and modern times
Some researchers consider the Sabian religion to be the oldest religion known to humans in the era of history, and the origins of this religion are represented in the belief in the multiplicity of forces governing this universe, and in the existence of a higher power that dominates and manages these forces, and what are these structures that they establish on earth, and those manifestations and rituals, which they bring. They are used in the duties of their worship, except for means that bring them closer to those bodies in which power resides, such as the shape of the star if it is engraved on a ring, the geometry of the house if it is built in a special shape, attendance at the temple or the pledge of allegiance at specific times, and turning to a specific direction when reciting the names and glorifying the gods. This brings a person closer to the source of higher power. Some of these principles have remained, after their development throughout these ages, as the current Sabians still venerate the planets and stars, especially the seven planets, while the pole star is considered the qiblah, to which he turns in every obligatory prayer and ritual performed by the religious person, and in all rituals if he does not face. It is not acceptable to this planet.
