Sage from the Poison Stream

Carol is a ruthless schizophrenic chameleon with a deep dark fixation on Felix Gibran, a man ultimately trapped & tormented in the quicksand of the inescapable morbid collective conscience.
The main character 'Felix Gibran' has hidden himself, disappeared and fallen off the map, which evokes a frightening range of response and reaction from his friends, family, supporters & dissenters alike. There is no search for comradery or loyalty in Felix Gibran, only a gruesome retreat.
'Sage from the Poison Stream' concentrates on the interconnectedness of all things, and aims to identify with the reader's collective mind, more than it does to entertain them with 'tale'. It is done so through blistering & pneumatic characters that have fringed out and evacuated their conventional lives. They are, however, presented in a context of refined and digestible clarity, as they desperately rally in crawl-mode to do battle, while searching for pieces of their own remains …

About the Author

Edie Von Siros' debut work 'Sage from the Poison Stream' was written between 1996 & 2012. A classically trained musician/pianist from childhood, Von Siros fell in love with the theater, acting and stage directing as a teenager. After earning a University degree in Theater Arts from California State University, he eventually became disenchanted in coping with the social aspects of the Theater. EVS began writing as an exercise in channeling artistic expression, and eventually began studying meditation and breathing techniques to support his writing. With the initial core of 'Sage' written around 1997 in Los Angeles, the book was 'shelved' by the author by 2000, and later unearthed in 2008 when the 2nd surge of the book's composition resumed.
Edie Von Siros also writes classical music for full & chamber orchestra in his spare time.
