The Scanguards Vampires series - over 1 Million copies sold worldwide!

Vampire bachelor Samson can't get it up anymore. Not even his shrink can help him. That changes when the lovely mortal auditor Delilah tumbles into his arms after a seemingly random attack. Suddenly there's nothing wrong with his hydraulics - that is, as long as Delilah is the woman in his arms.

His scruples about taking Delilah to bed vanish when his shrink suggests it's the only way to cure his problem. Thinking all he needs is one night with her, Samson indulges in a night of pleasure and passion.

However, another attack on Delilah and a dead body later, and Samson has his hands full: not only with trying to hide the fact he's a vampire, but also with finding out what secrets Delilah harbors that put her in danger.

I have to start off by saying I'm so very pleased that I found this author, Tina Folsom. I noticed one of her other books on Amazon and after I read that I knew I wanted to read as much as I could from Folsom. Out of the two I've read, this is most definitely my favorite. Whoa, I'm still fanning myself from some of the scenes. I really felt what the characters were going through. Their responses to the unfolding story really rang true for me. I know when I read some books the characters response doesn't quite fit into what I'd have been feeling. So it was really nice that this one was so believable. Samson, a bachelor (also vampire) is having trouble with his manhood. Ever since the betrayal with his last girlfriend he hasn't been able to do the deed. So when he meets Delilah and everything awakens he's shocked. She's mortal. He also realizes someone's out to get her and wants her dead. Poor Delilah it's just one shock after another for her. First someone's chasing her and next... well, I'll let you read the book to find out. I loved it. I loved the secondary characters. I loved the main characters. I loved everything. I cannot wait to read the next two in the series.

Since there's no summary, here's the summary from Amazon: Vampire bachelor Samson can't get it up anymore. However, another attack on Delilah and a dead body later, and Samson has his hands full: not only with trying to hide the fact he's a vampire, but also with finding out what secrets Delilah harbors for somebody to want her harm. Warning: explicit sex scenes Review: From its quirky premise to its heart-felt conclusion, this is a light, lively romance packed with fresh twists, snappy dialogue, and steamy sex. A perfect escapist read.

Well what can I say? Tina Folsom has delivered another fantastic Erotica read with Samson's Lovely Mortal. This was such a great read I hated to put it down. Samson has been going through a rough period, unable to perform sexually with all the stresses of life he is currently enduring. When he decides to take his good friend Amaury's advice, he visits Dr. Drake, a psychiatrist for Vampires. Unsure that this doctor can help, he tries to heed his advice. It is his birthday and the boys have prepared a surprise for Samson, even though Samson is not surprised they've made plans. When Delilah pounds on his door hoping to escape her attacker, Samson is surprised the boys have sent a human to help him with his problem. Feeling the attraction, he plays along with what he thinks is part of Delilah's act, (he thinks she's a stripper, not a true damsel in distress). As she tries to fight him off, now unsure is she may have been safer outside with the man that grabbed her, Samson finds himself aroused. The boys enter with the real stripper, and Samson is found with a huge case of embarrassment. Now feeling he must make it up to Delilah, he offers her a ride home, then later asks her out on a date. When the real stripper attempts to pleasure him, he finds himself back in the same boat as before and seeks the good Dr.'s advice. Dr. Drake's advice is simple - he must have sex with this human girl. Delilah accepts Samson's invitation, surprised she feels an attraction to Samson even after the way he treated her. Their date goes exceptionally well, and as they are leaving, her attacker appears yet again, not expecting her protector to be a Vampire. This now sets the stage for Samson to become Delilah's protector, and since he is the owner of Scanguards, a body guard service, he seeks to find out who and why someone is after his new attraction, and healer of his erectile dysfunction. With surprising twists and turns along the way, not to mention fantastic, steamy sex, Folsom did not hold back on delivering another fantastic read. I highly recommend this series, The Scanguards Vampires, and give Samson's Lovely Mortal ***** (5) Stars. ~BK Walker

When asked to read and review this paranormal romance, "Samson's Lovely Mortal", I took the time to read the synopsis about the book as well as the author's website. At first, I was skeptical and uncertain that I would be interested in the storyline. However, the thought occurred to me, there have been many books I have read with just as much or less information about them, but took it upon someone's word that they were good. I had friends who had read those books and could give me a play-by-play if I need it. This time, this book had not been release yet. I was a first time reader, so to speak, and I would potentially be a first reviewer. I appreciated the challenge set before me. In this story, Samson is a vampire and has been a bachelor for a very long time. Never in his life, or undead life, has he ever had trouble getting it up. He has never had trouble in the sex department before but now it's a problem. Upon advice from a friend, he seeks the help of a shrink, only to realize not even a shrink can help. However, it all changes when fate brings a beautiful mortal named, Delilah to his doorstep. Delilah is an auditor who is hired to audit a company in a city she is unfamiliar. Chased by a would-be mugger, Delilah happens upon Samson's doorstep seeking refuge. Opening the door and inviting the now soaked from rain, scared human into his home, and through several misunderstandings, Samson realizes that his equipment has begun to work again. I am not one who cares to read or watch gratuitous sex. When I began reading this book, that was my first thought. In fact, I even set the story down for a couple of days because I was not impressed on the first chapter. I will admit, I am very hard on books. If they don't capture my attention in the first chapter, I usually get rid of it. Had I done that with this book, it would have been my loss. Author Tina Folsom did an excellent job of developing her main characters for this story, the good, the bad, the happy and the sad. Did I really want to start out the gate reading of a man with erectile dysfunction? No, not particularly. However, to capture the beautiful love story, you have to see where the main characters were before they fell in love. You get an idea of the inner workings of fate in this story. After getting past the first couple of chapters, this story became an excellent page-turner! I found myself wanting to get back to the story to find out what more would happen. As I approached the end, I found myself asking questions, questions that only the author could answer. Perhaps she will in her future books. However, with all that said, I enjoyed every emotional, erotic, and sexy second of this story. It's a beautiful love story with just a little intrigue added to keep all interested. I recommend you grab a copy.

Wow what a way to spend a weekend!!! I actually purchased all three books from this series starting with Samson's Lovely Mortal. By the end of the weekend I had finished all three in the series. No disappointments what so ever. They kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more. This entire series is very well written from the characters to their storylines. I highly recommend all three titles in this series and I personally can't wait for the fourth. :)

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was the first romance novel I had ever read and I loved it. I believe the author did a great job at balancing the romance and erotic parts of the story with the mystery and whodunnit aspect. Would definitely recommend and I will definitely be reading the other books in this series.

This is my first book by Tina Folsom and I was pleasantly surprised with a very satisfying vampire story. The hero is an alpha male, but not overly so - very refreshing to find a tender hero. Together Delilah and Samson heal each other's deepest wounds an overcome plots to destroy his company and her life. Great read - 4 1/2 stars. I will be glad to read more of her work.

A Steamy Paranormal Romance"Samson's Lovely Mortal" (Scanguards Vampires Book 1) by Tina Folsom is a fun, sexy romp that I'd classify more as a Romance with a Paranormal theme. I tend to like my vampires just a little darker than the love-struck Samson. Decent writing and a uniquely humorous storyline line make this book stand out from the rest of the genre. There is a touch of mystery here as well as strong male-bonding between the vampires, this time within a corporate setting. Delilah appears to have a dual nature, being alternately feisty then submissive. I wish there'd been a little more character development and depth in both leads and more detailed world-building. This lack pushes "Samson's Lovely Mortal" into the light reading category for me. This first book of a series turns out to be a enjoyable, quick-to-read, charming story. I will go on to read the other titles as well.

4 stars — This was a reread, but I hadn’t written a review the first time I read it, so this is just my current thoughts. Course I didn’t write my review right away, so this is going to be a lame review again. I will admit that I liked the overarching plot and world setup more than the romance this time around. Which is not to say the romance was bad, I definitely enjoyed it… But the steamy scenes weren’t necessarily that inspiring…this is weird to admit, but I really wasn’t a fan of referring to Delilah’s genitals as pink petals…it grossed me out for some reason. But that’s my own hang up. So basically I ended up enjoying the non-steamy romance moments more. Samson was intriguing because of what he was going through with his…er…issues. It was a really unique spin to put on a story, an impotent vampire. It was actually kind of sad though, how lonely he was, and how he was trying to force a connection because he wanted some family. I really loved his backstory and how that came into play throughout the story. Delilah was intriguing herself. I loved how smart she was, how she was looking for that control in her job — trying to fix something from her past by trying to fix things for people now. It was a bit weird, but it worked for me. I loved that she did eventually get resolution on that issue. I seriously loved the set of characters we’re introduced to in Samson’s friends/employees. The whole setup of Scanguards is intriguing, and I enjoyed the secret underground world. I felt for a lot of the characters, I was intrigued by so many of their stories. I think that was truly a strong part. It made me desperately want to seek out and read them all. I’ve read the first 3 or 4, so I’ll be rereading them, and then continuing on with the few others I have. So yeah…really enjoyed the world building, characters and romance, and the potential for the series.
