My name is Shane Buras Sr. My family has been in the fishing and shrimping industries since they immagrated from Nova Scotia to South-eastern LA in the 1800's. I have lived in Plaquemines Parish in southern LA all my life. Im married to my wife Phyllis and we live in Franklinton, LA. Ive been working on the water of southern LA since the 1970's. I presently work in the oilfield industry operating vessels that run support for the oil platforms in the gulf of mexico. I own my own business that supplies these vessels to the oilfield.
