Scenic Walks in the Peak District - central area
30 circular walks in this popular part of the Peak District National Park. The walks vary in length from 2.5 to 6.75 miles. They all start from a convenient parking place and many are accessible using public transport. A number of the walks start from the same place, making it convenient to do two walks in one day.
A lot of care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the mapping, whilst the direction instructions are detailed, but easy to follow. There are no vague and misleading instructions such as 'in a short distance', or 'eventually you will see path to the left' etc.
The most northerly walk is in the Longshaw Estate, the southern limit is Elton, whilst to the east it is Birchen Edge and the western boundary is Chee Dale. The compact area covered in the book contains a diversity of landscapes, and the walks have been chosen to reflect this - from the gritstone edges in the east, the fertile pastures of Chatsworth Estate to the spectacular limestone dales in the central and western areas.
We feel sure that you will enjoy using this ebook, whether you are an experienced walker, or an occasional stroller.
